well i enjoyed it cos it's comedy, i don't know where all the hate comes from. if you don't want your moe then look elsewhere, nobody's forcing you to watch...

too many obnoxious fans are the problem and reason for hate. Same as naruto. Anime is fine but god smite the fans of the show.

i hate most moe, dumb, plotless show, but for this one i had to raise my two thumbs up. however, there are people who hastily generalize every moe show into a group called "crap". prematurely judging that every moe show is a mere attempt to collect money from brainless moetakus.

i say that this one prevailed to be a hit is one big evidence of its quality. there are lots of shows with the same genre, but why only this one made it this success? simple answer: cause it is special. and since most haters wont bother to evict this one from the "crap" group, i say I LOVE THIS "CRAP"! and this "crap" deserves a second season indeed!

Whether or not K-ON is crap is immaterial, the anime industry is stuck on "moe shows do well", not "good shows do well".

that's pretty wrong, anon. bakemonogatari should have opened your eyes. it is a proof that the society is still sane and reasonable.

the right statement would be this:
if there are 2 bad shows, the one with moe tend to sell better.

i believe there's no way a bad moe show will do better than a good non-moe show.

moeness has its own influence in how well an anime sells. but the quality itself still holds the top priority.

If Larry and Curly were added to the mix, will those shows still sell?

To me this anime tries to be cute but fails at it, it was fun for a couple of minutes though

think about appropriateness. why don't we try adding yui into evangelion? that's a plus moeness for us, but it will only make sales worse cause it's not the place.

on the other hand, think about bakemonogatari illustrated with the style of... let's say kaiji. will it still be on the top of market? admit it, the cute girls there also contributes to the sales. so you see, appropriateness is not to be ignored.

if u dont like the anime, just please dont say bad things.

I love this anime so much

The problem I have with this show is that it's HUGELY below par for Kyo-Ani, has no rewatch value and the characters are shallow as fuck.

It's more slice of wiafu than slice of life.

u have to admit that no other studio is capable of making such simple 4koma comedy into a popular hit. don't say it is because of moe coz there are many moe shows with much more fanservice scenes, and none of them made it this success. this kind of show is one of kyo ani's talent.

no rewatch value? but, of course, duh. it's a comedy, duh. who would want to hear the same jokes over and over again, duh.

characters and their daily activities are dumb indeed. but shallow? this show is one of few shows where we got to know so many sides of each character, though that is mostly for the purpose of joking around.

But come on....

Besides all the moeness displayed,
creating awesome music OP/ED/INS,
seeing rare GITA collections(Fender),
making us wanna take up music,
laughing at slice of life moe,

We all wanna see more of "Moe moe...Kyun" don't we?
