I'd off myself if I had to resort to something like this.

I don't think my funeral date is all that far away now...

What? You mean you haven't spent your Christmas like this?

And I could swear everyone on SanCom had the same traditional otaku Christmas, myself included. Oh well...

My Otaku Christmas consisted of having coffee and cake at 1600 at my Grandma's place, have some champaign, exchange some presents, then go to my parents' place , have dinner and exchange some presents and then I went home, watched some anime, played the new version of the s.mr.t.e.r. mod for Call of Pripyat while emptying that already opened bottle of wine and have some mead. So now I am quite drunk and I have no idea why i am typing this. Good evening.

Any Christmas that ends in a fairly happy state of drunk is a good Christmas.

    Cheers!

    @ Anon 02:57
bought it from a grocery store. They got this mead just recently since it is getting more popular here in Germany and I decided to try it out. Was pretty impressed with the quality, not like the cheap stuff they had before. Of course it was more expensive but it wasn't soiled by sugar or apple juice which justifies the relatively high price.
Not as good as my favourite mead, mind you. I normally order online from a vinyard located in Bavaria. But still, the new mead I got from the grovery store is pretty good. The vinyard is located in Steinhagen, in North Rhine-Westphalia (I live in Lower Saxony).

Will get me some Baerenfang (a honey liqueur 20 to 45% alcohol depending on the brand you buy) from them soon. You know, to spice up dull evenings even more :D

Big shout-out as well to the idiots who still buy music. Thanks!

I'll probably never understand otaku, I love anime, apparently not as much, I remember when I bought my first and only figure, I'm not sure what I expected, but I'm clearly not as obsessed with anime as I thought.

But anything Sono Hanabira is a must buy for me, it just seems like most of these otaku buy stuff for anime that don't last long in popularity, just so they can keep buying stuff, but eh whatever, it's their money or their parents.

Considering Christmas in Japan is a time for Lovers and friends and not Family, I doubt they told anyone to stick it. Less than 5% of the Japanese are actually Christian (and it's probably less than that). Most of the people there who celebrate it there are just doing it secularly or for the novelty of it.

Now if they're still doing this on New Years then Maybe...

I live in Britain, I'd go as far as 90% of us completely ignore the Christian part of it.
It's just a tradition or force of habit more than anything else.
Maybe that garbage is big in America but even then it'll gradually phase out.

Agreed with DeathCrunch, hardly anyone in Britain gives a crap about the tradition, which is kinda sad.

But not as sad as these guys and their waifus.

They found happiness and acceptance within themselves and do not need a measurement of their "social wealth" or judgment from others.
