A woman who displayed more concern over the state of her car than the elderly lady she fatally struck has attracted a storm of criticism.
The 26-year-old unemployed woman, a resident of Aichi prefecture, ran down an 87-year-old woman at a pedestrian crossing, killing her instantly.
She writes about the experience on her now defunct blog:
“I ran over and killed an old woman… Well, it was at night, and I was coming back from a friend’s after finally getting my car back.
The opposite lane looked pretty congested on the way back (but I was listening to music and not really looking), and the old woman suddenly came out of the cars. She was killed instantly. My long awaited car is ruined, and I’ll lose my licence! Damn it!!”
The woman had just got her car back from the garage 2 days previously, after an accident in which she severely damaged another car.
The family of the dead woman were particularly incensed by her conduct after the accident, saying “All she said was ‘sorry,’ and when she attended my mother’s service she sat at the rearmost row fiddling with her flashy nails the whole time.”
The woman writes about condolence call on her blog, where she also posted a variety of showy pictures of her elaborately decorated fingernails:
“I went to pay my respects with my hands like this. Nobody pays any attention to something like this, do they? I did dye my hair black [from blond] though.”
When confronted about the blog’s contents by media, she at first claimed “Somebody else just wrote that!” but soon changed her story to “I just wrote nonsense there. I don’t know why I wrote that, and anyway the blog is closed now so it doesn’t matter.”
Courts handed her a 16 month suspended prison sentence.

I once remember a mom going over the street with her little boy. The kid fell, bashing knee pretty badly that it bled heavily and he cried, while the mother hit him for dropping the bread on the walkway from the bag he was carrying.

lol. i hit a dog and it broke my turn signal light. i was cussing the mangy mutt. but a human is different. i would have been upset about my car but i would have felt worse about the old woman i killed.

Solution?
Without using anesthesia cop off her fingers and toes (to prevent her from trying to paint them too!) while pulling out one eyeball and breaking one leg completely so for the rest of her life. She'll be hobbling in circles.
I really hate people who don't know how to fucking drive. I have to deal with this shit daily and this story gets me in a bother...

Having a drivers license revoked is not a ban it just means she can't LEGALLY drive. Your car does not fucking stop working if you don't have a license.
Recently in Poland there was a case when guy with revoked license (for causing accident while drunk driving), got himself drunk again and ran over and killed a child.
He was put into temporary arrest for 24 hours and mysteriously committed "suicide" (afaik he hang managed to "himself" without using any kind of stool and his cell-mates noticing:D:D:D)
So well, you can drive without license, but it can end very very badly for you.

it was an accident, seems kind of silly to punish someone even more for not feeling bad. Well when the muslims take over people will be stoned and killed left and right for the most minor offenses so don't worry things will be as you want it at that time.
Accident or not, it's homicide. In a court, it does not matter much whether she feels any kind of remorse, but "16 month suspended prison sentence" is still pretty light taking into account she killed the old lady.

If I was her, I would be smiling in my grave and laugh all the way to the Pearly Gate. Seriously, damaging and leaving your mark on the car (especially those belongs to irresponsible drivers) with your own body right before it rams and kills you are the least yet best things to do before dying in a road accident.
The force is due to the speed of the car, not the granny's strength. When an object hits another, the 2nd object reflects an opposing and equal force back, from Newton's third law, aka why a ball bounces. So technically both car and granny receieved the same force of impact. But a human body and a car's body is not built the same. The human would have been totally smashed while the car got a mere dent.
