I watched the 1st season and I liked it, I'll watch the movie and I'll probably like it, but I still won't download and see the second season for eight obvious reasons.

I agree. It's one of my favorite pieces, hauntingly beautiful yet esoteric enough to not have insanely popular acclaim, and it'll make me really sad to see it sell out like that. Kadokawa will lose my respect for them if they cause such a travesty.

Why piss about E8. Because of the way Kadokawa/KyoAni handled this season. Announcing a new season only to broadcast the original episodes AND E8 is complete bollocks. Someone mentioned that most of the 'A' grade material was used in the original so it just felt like a filler without any new developement.

I'm a Haruhi fan, and I agree about E0, but I'm just way way too tired of endless bashing. If you were a fan of the show and your expectation were betraied, then I'd understand, but its like bashing E8 is like a trend that people need to get the fuck over.
People wouldn't have bashed it so much if it were actually GOOD. Even Aya Hirano hated it. This movie however, looks promising.

Sure he gathered everyone together but they weren't the people he knew. The only ones to actually have memories of him were those two filler friends.

If I remember correctly Nagato didn't really show any emotions throughout the series, at least I haven't seen her the way she reacts at 0:39 so far.
Then don't spoil yourself, and don't look into the matter =) Unless you're fine with reading the Light Novels first.
If you're just going to watch the anime, then I suggest you remember that the movie is chronologically after the last episode of the "2nd" season.
Lets just say Nagato changes a bit during disappearance. Don't look for spoilers unless you read the novels like the person above me said.
