Michael Moore on Akihabara

Another item to be added to unnecessary things sold - movies by Michael Moore. A ignorant buffoon would be a king understatement.

Deceitful liar is another when it comes to ALL his movies, from the very beginning. The entire premise of his movie 'Roger and Me' - i.e. Moore could not get to met or talk with 'Roger' - was essentially lost during the production because Moore 'forgot' to mention that he actually met and talked with General Motors CEO Roger Smith...TWICE. Moore probably thought the fact that his second meeting with Smith which was a personal meeting by appointment between the two, would had made his movie moot.

Then there was the case where Mike Yon had to serve Moore with legal papers before Moore or his lawyer would even discuss the fact that Moore had lifted a copyright photo of Yon's for use on Moore's website...without permission or even an acknowledgement...

I live next to the guy in Northern Michigan. He has invested a lot of money in the only big town up here (Google "Traverses city film festival").
I used to work at a grocery store near TC that he would frequent between films, and he'd always make jokes and was over all a really nice guy. Hell he though it was hilarious that I told him I had torreted "Sicko" the week before.

He is probably totally without knowledge of otaku culture when he says his opinion of equality in maid cafe. Or he is joking! I share most of his opinions in his documentaries, if he does not know anything about otakuism does not make him automatically a bad guy.
But Moore should think twice when he says that "a lot of unnecessary things are sold here" because he eats too much and it is just as bad for enviroment and for his own health.

I generally like his documentaries, but this shows a definite lack of knowledge and probably a lot of preconceived notions clouding his view.
