I don't think theres any problem with continuing the CG universe. Infact I don't even see a problem with it being lelouch so long as its a different timeline to work with. Him popping out of the grave so to speak 1 month after his dictatorship ended is really rather cliche.

Maybe put us forward in time to when humanity broke the empire apart. Since thats what humans do best, destroy.

Just in case you read it wrong, I'd put my guess on a movie or a prequel. The prequel could be set in the same time period as when C.C. first got her Geass, Same with a movie.

It actually isn't definite that he died. There are two things that might be hints - though how they may be interpreted depends on Bandai willing to include Lelouch in the continuation or not: There is one mark of those immortal missing, there is this CC's dialog in the last scenes and the guy on the waggon that came out of the blue. If they decide to include him, it won't be so 'unrealistic', if they don't - there is still no problem.

and it has already been stated that the new CG would most likely be a continuation, most likely it would be a sequel or a different story line all together.

Maybe it'll be about how Lelouch travels the country side as a merchant trying to make a living with a dream of some day conqu- owning a shop and C.C. as his companion during his travels. Yes, that would be an awesome plot.

You didn't understand me. In the context of those news it doesn't matter who said that he is dead or if he really is or is not. If they didn't decide to continue the story, he would've been as dead as chair according to the author - or alive, according to beliefs of some fans. The point is, that Bandai may still decide to include him depending on what would give the best scenario/profits ratio. If the storywriter proves it may be better for the story to revive him or to say that he wasn't killed, that may happen. If they decide that it is too cliche, it probably won't.

Either way, that is their privilidge as the creators and producers to do what they think would be the most epic, realistic, stupid or just profitable.

I personally think that we are not likely to see Lelouch again.

No matter how official Lelouch's death is, to get more money he will be alive again.

Or this takes place 15 years later with his son as the main.

Either way, it sure will be great! ^_^

Those where the worst ever viewed, akin to watching a Seven hour big Stinking Reset button out of star trek 'the adventures of a bald gay dude and his de-balled number one' when I finally stopped watching it after that great season 3 cliffhanger. Then I watched as number one get his balls ripped right off him in the first episode of the fourth, he never recovered.
