Nopan mahjong anime Saki seems to managed some quite scrupulous revisions in the transition from TV to DVD, which are compiled exhaustively by one of 2ch’s image specialists above, with the DVD on the right.

I actually noticed some of them before checking the cheat sheet...
What's the point of editing this if nobody would even notice!?
what is the point of this anyway...who cares?
Actually it is mainly fixing errors and making things more pretty.
Perhaps most of the changes were edits done during production while the tv version was airing, that just didn't have time to make it to broadcast.
So then they get finished up and added to the DVD version rather then the tv version.
Could also be edits they decided on on a whim while desteaming the oppai scenes.
I also noticed some things that weren't on the cheat sheet. For example, top row, second set from the left: a little piece of her choker (or whatever you want to call it) isn't colored in properly on the TV version.
In other words, they enhanced the chest area.
Surprisingly, only a couple edits were with the chest area.
No boobs/nipple? :(
Then where was the point of me looking at the comparison!
to prove that your not blind
And it looks like he failed too.
I'm very impressed with the attention to detail they put in the changes. As well as the inspector finding all those changes.
The flaming hand correction. lol'd when I saw that. The tile should never face that way unless you're picking it up with your hand twisted the other way.
This shloudn't be count as 'diference'. plz.
Hahaha you know, I would have never noticed all these small details.
what's the dif?
2ch is freaking ridiculous with them seeing the littlest detail.
DTV looks better
Wow, they really know where to put light and shadow.
Mostly fixes. So there is a difference. They corrected their minor errors.
Looks like someone has too much free time on their hands.
The gray scaled effect both looks nice, but I prefer the TV version because it looks "serious". The DVD version of that scene looks like a Moefication...
I think they redo the grey scene for consistency. The style for the grey scene in the tv version isn't the same as the rest of the anime. Someone might argue that the tv grey scene style is needed for the contrast effect with the character... but I think the DVD version is more suited for the anime.
It's hilarious how gonzo got rid of all those "realistic" people including that freakish little boy!
Seeing how gonzo lost '~witches', it's not too hard to imagine them losing any hope of continuing 'Saki' so it's good to see that they've at least made sure to make the final official release look as good as they could possibly get it.
Poor gonzo with all those awful Piece of shit movies they made to drive them into bankruptcy...
Here's a trick to finding differences:
Cross your eye until the 2 images overlap, relax your eyes till the overlapped image comes into focus. Now just lookout for spots that doesn't seem "right". You'll see the differences IMMEDIATELY.
saki was a fairly well animated show to begin with so it's understandable that the only differences are like in slight changes to hair, faces, backgrounds and er....chairs...
Now I wonder who hired a Production IG artist to do the Background characters in those two grayscale scenes..
i took the bottom pic =.=
i found the most obvious one, one is on the left while the other is on the right. eh heh heh. i know your kicking yourselves for not seeing it sooner.
Did anyone notice Yui in that 3rd gray panel? or is it just me?
I noticed it sort of since you mentioned it, but I'm almost sure it's a coincidence.
Too much K-ON! on the brain.
The story and/or plot does not change even if you change these small details...
Hey its a DVD. That means we better be getting better quality video, among other things.
Waaaaa~~~~~ I'll buy the DVD!~~~
hey i noticed some too, the 11:30 pic, the guys on the top right have dif hair in each pic.
and from what i've seen in this whole differential, the tv anime has a lot of subliminal messages
10:37 the guys that are dif in each pic look as some bad guys in the tv version
10:38 same thing about the girl and boy...
10:40 looks like that old guy is touching that girl's bottom...
and there are a lot more differences, such as longer knot and etc...
you just be carefull, there are a lot of subliminal messages around you, check youtube and you'll see that disney is full of subliminal messages such as hidden words like "sex" or others...
