Crayon Shin-chan to Restart with New Mangaka

Classic manga property Crayon Shin-chan is set to restart with a new mangaka, after the unfortunate death of creator Yoshito Usui.
The serialisation is still ongoing due posthumous publication of completed works, but this material is scheduled to run out in February.
However, the manga will be restarting “in a new form” in the summer of 2010, with a new mangaka and studio, and with the blessing of Usui’s estate.
The anime is also set to continue.

I don't think I'd be happy with this at all, I mean all the Doraemon so-called sequels after Fujiko's death pretty much sucked especially Michiaki's "Seven Doraemons" series. I have no doubt that it might end up like that too.

I kind of feel it's in bad taste to continue publication after the original mangaka died... But I suppose if it had the blessing of his estate, then it's fine.

doraemon continued running even after the original mangaka died, and i never liked the new manga anymore. hope this is not the same case with shin-chan

I feel mixed about this.
While I'm glad the series will continue, I'm concerned it won't be as great as it was. At the same time, since it has the blessing of his estate, I think it'll turn out alright.
hey, they are learning from amerikans keep milking it for it's worth until it sucks then cancel for good (until it gets remade into a movie generations later, and then revive the series until people lose interest again then you kill it.)
