It's great news, AIC always been known for great production values. They don't always get the best materials to work on but fuck they deliever top notch results in every project they touched. They can make even generic harem crap appear having substances.

Strike witches is a prima example of why the whole moe thing is bad for a lot of things.

And then they try to bring it to the US...

Studio AIc is doing a great job on sora no Flying Pantsu. I would like to see their rendition of the witches.

Man this sucks, I don't know if AIC can pull of the SW season 2 alone.
Their collaboration was having great results and Gonzo needed it a lot.

Gonzo... they are in literally dipshit...
From certain financial sources, they have from last I heard US$6M to clear by (forgotten what date) or they will be under bank control / property.

Thus, they have to pull out all guns now to save their ass. (remember in Seitokai no Ichizon, the Strike Witches parody? also Kiddy Grade-and where if I remember correctly, Gonzo staff are on the production though not credited)

Now that production has moved to AIC, Gonzo most probably will have to sell their license rights and production / design templates of Strike Witches + working out the production (with their remaining staff who used to be on the project maybe without being credited) if they want to save themselves.

That's a shame, I still remember the good stuff that studio made in the old days, before turning to this newest "make bland crap that sells" trend.

R.I.P Gonzo, you shall be remembered. Atleast we still have the Muppet Show bird guy.

My one gripe with AIC handling the franchise now, is that it opens up the possibility of a hopeless male harem lead being included into the cast.

He will probably represent Geneva, Nato, or the UN or something.

Gonzo seems to be better at writing stories with a female only cast.

I will miss gonzo. They were probably my second or third favorite producers.

Studio DEEN will animate it. They've already proven they've got what it takes (the Strike Witches spoof in Seitokai).

Best regards, though. I LOVE Strike Witches, even if people say its shitty.

I am very happy that "Strike Witches" will have a second season, I was waiting for a long time, it was worth every day and month ^^.

Rut-roh! I hope it isn't the end of Gonzo, but Strike Witches is in good hands with AIC.

I hate to see them go but maybe it will turn out to save the struggling anime companies as a whole.

Does Gonzo have ANY decent anime properties left?

I don't really want them to go down, not with Vandread and Nadesico still technically in their hands. I know that all the good people have left the company, but at the very least I hope some of the legacy franchises could be rescued.
