Yea this is disappointing. I was expecting to see some uncensored loli nipples in the dvd version. But it was just one censor covering another censor. EPIC FAIL.

I really hate this new step anime are taking. Now the "uncensored" DVDs are just slightly less censored while the TV counterpart censors underwear? This is ridiculous.

Someone needs to super uncensor this like with Strike Witches. I mean, the DVD version being MORE censored than the TV version? I don't see the logic (unless Blu-Ray is super uncensored).

This is a good idea really. The show was an attempt to appeal to too many audiences at once, so a slightly censored DVD would be a good idea if there is an uncensored BluRay. Would be much like the all-ages and 18+ ero games. Or maybe a 13 (15?)+ and 17+? Either way, if things like this occured with the Japanese release of Strike Witches, I know loads of people that would be more than happy to buy the censored version now that it isn't on T.V.
Uncensored versions detract from the story and anything important in the plot for those that did not watch them on T.V. Remember, this show has a plot and is a "slice of life" show even though it moves back and forth between it and the H scenes. Japan needs to appeal to their consumers after all, and DVDs are typically bought by people that liked the show a lot or have yet to see it and heard about it from those that saw it on T.V. in the first-place. And you get a cleaner-looking version if you waited to buy it.
If the BluRay is uncensored, everyone gets what they want, the uncensored version would LOOK better, there'd be appeal to buy either version, and the company makes more money off of the loli appeal. Sounds good imho if that's how it works.

I just watched this episode now on Crunchyroll and it's really stupid. This show doesn't even have anything to censor, and yet they're censoring it!

The overabundance of steam and beams of light are just too much, and are ridiculous. Kanamemo isn't an ecchi anime, and the steam makes sure it's censored enough, and even when there's no steam, there's no visible nipples and the worst we see is underwear.

I hope this stupid trend reverses. We're still seeing dumb censorship in To Love Ru and such even in 2015. And they had full frontal in Anime back in the 80's! Japan is going so backwards, they need to uncensor everything, especially porn and real life porn.

Their definition of "Uncersored" must be somewhere along these lines:

If it's censored with steam, reduce the amount slightly. If it's censored with cats, replace them with FUCKING STEAM EVERYWHERE.
