Still quite happy with my original launch DS. I can't stand the multiple variations of the same base system

Bigger screen won't help unless you bump up the native resolution. Pixels in DS Lite are huge enough as they are. And this new DS LL is gonna top that by 25%.

Make it heavier and bigger, of course, what else screams portability? All the DSi added was a camera and some downloadable games, complete garbage, the DS Lite is actually worth it since it sets out to make the DS lighter and smaller for portability.

I love the DSi, but that is just stupid. Why make the screen bigger? I really can't think of any reason I'd want something like that. The better battery would be nice, and is the only improvement I want from that, but taht's not enough to make me want to buy another DSi. Especially not this soon into the life of the first one.

if they made it fatter why could they not at least include backwards comparability to gba!

I'm definitely getting one of these. The bigger screens are going to rock.

I don't like portable consoles, but a bigger screen is always welcome, even if its actual resolution is the same as before (in fact, changing it and stretching the image would basically fuck up the games).

Obviously XL stands for extra large but what does LL stand for?

You couldn't fit the old one in your pockets anyway, so the size doesn't make that much of a difference.

Wasnt the point of this device to be sold to those of ages 45 and older? Its designed to help them see the screen better and hopefully pull in a older demographic to the nintendo market. Ill be honest I saw this and considered getting one for myself and my mum, the larger size is a welcome addition to the hours of eye strain I get from staring at the smaller screen.

I for one prefer the larger size. I still have my brick of a DS and think the DSlite and DSi feel like they'll fall apart any second.

...Umm, I'm fairly certain that the only reason this exists is to try to appeal to those whom have a hard time seeing the small screen on handhelds. That's the only reason for it, really. The normal DSi will still sell, this one is meant only for those who have bad eyes.

I don't mind the increased size and weight. I'm still using the orignal ds so it can't be that much larger/heavier than the original. Plus bigger screen.

Bulky is better, fits in my oversized hands better. There was a reason why i never bought that GBASP, thing could only be held be the end of my fingers. Guess I'll replaces my DS Phat with this new one that's coming out.
