Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo won't allow Adult Only (AO) rated games by the ESRB.

For reference, Fahrenheit(aka Indigo Prophecy) was rated AO for having a couple of tasteful softcore sex scenes that could easily be in an R rated film.

Unless there is a patch that is extra for the PC version, there is no way prudent America will let this in the game, unless Bioware paid someone off, or actually managed common sense on the part of someone at the ESRB.

This seems no different then "Hot Coffee" in GTA: San Andreas which had very crude clothed polygon fictional characters in simulated sexual acts and which was also rated Adults Only.

It's a role playing game, and kudos to the dev team for making it true to the diversity of real life and not restricting the possibilities for everyone just because some people "aren't into it."

Well in a way this is definitely a lot more of a realistic situation for a video game. I mean in a lot of RPGs it's a bunch of guys travelling around with fewer girls. It's a gang-rape waiting to happen. There's no way that none of these characters would have 0 desire to have sex with some of the female party members, (especially the ones with outfits that are completely asking for it.) In short, there should probably be more sex scenes in all of these long RPGs....

I've preordered the collector's edition of this here in the UK, at first it was just hype, but the more I hear about it, the better buying it sounds.

Plus I do like my romance in games, its something I feel hasnt really been developed as much as it could have been.
