The burgeoning selection of DLC available for the perfect edition of Tales of Vesperia is now set to include a series of (for some) alluring school uniform costumes, from the Saint Vesperia Private Academy.
The PS3 version already comes with some terrifically difficult to acquire swimsuit costumes, so what remains to be added is anyone’s guess.
This will come as a particular blow to Japan’s Xbox 360 users, who are known to be overwhelmingly male and laden with ero-gamers…

Tales of vesperia is what finally killed the tales series for me, the peak of all the things ive come to hate (the same gameplay with small updates, the godamn same story with changed names for the plot devices, stereotype characters, stupid sidequest you CANT complete without a guide,annoying characters).

all tales games are the same old boring shit, its namco's recycling franchise. The gameplay in every tales game is more or less the same. Played one, played them all.
The series was boring long before vesperia came out.

I have to agree with these comments. The Tales series is in danger of total stagnation, and many of the gameplay conventions are ludicrous.
And yet the 360 version still has no DLC aside from cash shop items like camping kits and trial skill sets.

These school uniforms are pretty dull, not worth the \. But I bought the DLCs to bum up 20 more levels for all members, so I could get pass certain boss quickly. Never thought I could buy "levels" in RPGs, crazy.

Anyway, if non-spoiler costumes were available earlier in the game it'd be all well and good... But most players will either never see them or get them near end-game when it doesn't even matter.
Or the window of opportunity you can get them in is so small you're only likely to find them if playing with a walkthrough. Never liked that about Tales games.
I actually missed the swimsuit costumes because of the miserly way they set up the events, horrendous considering I have no intention of playing through twice. Also, you barely even get costumes until the very end anyway.
And no, offering them from the start as pay-for DLC doesn't count as fixing the problem, IMO.
It only encourages developers to make costumes even less available in the real game >.>

Is the game even going to be released in the US? I don't think there are even rumors of them doing so yet. We could only cross our fingers now.

Not in the US maybe, but in Europe yes. Plus, there have been some already translated sections in the game code, which means that translation is at least being thought of.
According to the english dub actor for Yuri, Troy Baker, when asked about it at Animefest in Texas, he said he had done some new dialog about Patty, but wasn't sure if it was for the ps3 release or if there would be more voice acting sessions or not. So it looks like it may very well make it to the west after all.

They ALWAYS do this for JAPANESE. Not fake ass weaboos across seas. They didn't port it to PS3 for PS3 fans either, so get a clue you tool. They did this for JAPANESE fans, as JAPANESE people prefer JAPANESE consoles over US consoles. Also they know they can add any price tag to an old game and add extra shit to buy and people will buy it.
