The latest Dragon Ball video game, Spike’s Dragon Ball Raging Blast, is set for a multiplatform PS3 and Xbox 360 release on November 12th in Japan.
Observers have been quick to note some significant graphical differences between the two versions…

It looks as if the blast will not be the only thing raging about this.

The Tenkaichi style games suck anyway so who cares
they are the same thing but PS3 version is better.
why?
because it doesn't have stupid blurr to cover up the jaggy edges. Sharpness is good!
XBOX!
better
I remember hearing the Ghostbusters devs saying if the game was exclusive to PS3 there would be more crap flying around, I am often confused to why multiconsole PS3 games have less crap in the background.
haha
The rock isn't missing in the PS3 picture. It was destroyed. If you've ever played the Budokai Tenkaichi (Sparking) games before, you know the environment can be destroyed.
Also, the difference between the two is entirely miniscule. I really don't notice anything.
I'm getting the 360 version, because that's the one the GameStop guy asked me about. If that doesn't work, I'll get the PS3 version and see how it holds up.
Lastly, if the gameplay is good, than that's what really matters. Maybe it'll keep me off of Super Dragonball Z.
Mysterious Voice: "So you'd prefer 3 characters with 130 skins over truly unique characters? Nothing should keep you off of Super Dragonball Z."
That's a low blow, Mysterious Voice...
Mysterious Voice: "My specialty."
You have a choice between sharp jagged edges and blurry jagged edges.
sankaku fags like you all suck
0/10. Too obvious, troll.
It actually looks like the 360 version is upscaled rather than having anti-aliasing
Game sucks on both consoles.
It's sarcasm. Wow, guys....

Can't really count the backgrtound rocks since they are destroyable, and could have well been done so during the gameplay seqeuence before that screen was taken.
The main difference here is that the 360 version uses anti-aliasing while the PS3 version doesn't, making it look really jagged, which is even more noticable in games like this that use cel-shaded graphics technology.
Better anti-aliasing in the 360 version.
IMO PS3 fails for having less colour saturation. I like vivid colours.
This is a DBZ game, who cares....
Oh my dog they have more rocks
I bet Dragonball Evolution's game on the XBOX360 will be super awsome too. Justin Chatwin is hawt
360 has higher contrast, but that's just a TV setting so it doesn't matter which console.
well kinda stopped caring about dragon ball ever since they put reruns of it for about 2 years from dragonball to dragonball gt, you'll just tired of it
okay 2 things:
1)higher contrast on xbox 360 version opf the game, (of any game) DOES NOT HAVE anything to do with TV settings. Its the Hanna chip in the 360 wich makes up for higher contrast ratios and better black levels. Ive seen A LOT of comparison pics between console versions of VARIOUS games, and 360 versions almost ALWAYS have better color depth. wanna come up with the idea of every comparison using more brightness on the tv connected to ps3?..
2) ps3 is not a worse console than 360, but its a bit harder to port a game to. In this case, ps3 version of this game is crap,(cause it has messing elements, in this captures, ps3 version is missing a Huge rock behind goku, and a middle rock to the left. This happens too with red dead redemption, Mafia II, etc.) therefore 360 versions tend to have a better final presentation (better AA, higher framerates, etc)
It's very clear, people, that the rocks in the background were previously destroyed before the screenshot was taken. The playstation 3 has deeper black tones, and much more vibrant color. the average gamer wouldn't notice the difference but if you're OCD like me, you definitely will be able to tell.
Whatever. It's just another Dragonball fighting, same things as always. I prefer playing Dragonball - Revenge of King Piccolo at Wii.
There's differences? In the text yeah, but other than that...
Who cares anyway. These DBZ games are fun for like, 10 minutes and then get really old. :/
lol at these 360 vs PS3 threads... so many fanbois get their knickers in a knot.
Well Artefact always posts these PS3 vs Xbox360 articles in the first place.
oh no xbox 360 has a extra rock FUCK must be HEAPSSSS better then ps3 lmfao
So Ps3 had more detail in terms of sky, and 360 tried to make up for it with rocks?
This is a stupid article. It just seems like bait to start another fanboy flame war. Do really need so many of these console flamebait aricles?
it brings more traffic to the site?
dunno if it's wise to increase hits at the cost of more infantile cretins obsessing over if their expensive toys are better than the "other" expensive toy
The 360 version is more sharp, but the sky detail is better on the PS3 version. Not much of a difference though.
Can't we all just agree that multiplat games suck at PS3, 'coz devs are too lazy to reprogramming everything for the PS3.
Whaaat? They REMOVED some rocks from the field? NO WAY. There's NO excuse for this whatsoever!! *sarcasm*
AHAHA. Artefact, you win. Reading these comments are the true meat of your article. XD
There is only one rock difference since the one behind Goku on the 360 one is just replaced by one further back on the PS3. The PS3 has a better looking sky also.
xbox 360 has got anti-aliasing, where as the ps3 has a lack thereof. if the ps3 is like seriously lacking these nice rocks and mountains, then some shit is gonna fly. probably developed first on the 360 then tried to port to ps3 with fail results. can't blame the system, just the lazy developers.
It's not really (decent) AA. It looks more like a blur filter was put on, post processing.
I prefer the PS3 version if that kind of stuff is forced.
That's not a blur filter, that is 2x FSAA.
Lol. Try enabling 2x FSAA in a game on your PC. You will see that it looks much better than this "anti-aliasing" filter...
To extend: On far away objects, it looks fine. A depth-of-field filter would have looked just lovely. Filtering the entire image like this, however, makes the lines look uneven and clumpy in places.
Xbox 360 better?
OMG who stole the rock from PS3 version ??
Microsoft with their greedy hands
I lol'd
.....really....the dialog is the big thing. Its a pretty big difference compared to the ps3. 360 version=americanized over masculine crap. A typical blunder the us makes.
Are you being serious? Each quote exists in both versions.
who cares!
tried demo it sucks...
PS3 looks sharper compared to 360. 360 seems to be alot more blured
yea thats what i thought too
Blurring is caused by a smoothing filter, a form of anti-aliasing.
Yeah the worth type of anti-anliasing that is possible... blurring. Real antialiasing uses super-sampling on the edges of the polygons, but I've never seen that in any console game.
(PC ftw :P)
