Vesperia Devs Thank Xbox 360 Beta Testers

The furor surrounding the Xbox 360 beta version of Tales of Vesperia refuses to abate, with the Namco developers responsible pouring oil onto the flames by thanking the “players” for their contributions in allowing a better PS3 version…
The interview was published in the official PS3 guidebook:
Provocative excerpts:
“Xbox 360 players often complained ‘why aren’t these parts voiced?’, so when making the PS3 version we first set about improving the voicing … As a result, the entire main scenario became fully voiced.”
“We’d be delighted if those who played the Xbox 360 version would play the PS3 version too. Of course the same goes for those playing for the first time.”
“We made a lot of changes we think Xbox 360 players would be sure to appreciate.”
“There are a lot of elements from the Xbox 360 version which were improved, so please give it a try.”
“Based on the feedback so kindly provided by Xbox 360 players, we added a lot of additional elements.”
Replace “Xbox 360” with “beta” and “players” with “testers” for full effect.
Doubtless they are also grateful to Microsoft for subsidising the beta in the first place…

Well.. seeing that this game has been out for close to a year now, I'm sure Namco doesn't mind it if one or many does try to demand their money back.

Also seeing that Namco did produce a Complete Game for the xbots, their legal standings is Solid.

Screw Namco and that BS. I think Microsoft or someone should sue their asses. You'd have to be pretty damn arrogant to have people beta test something for one console, then come out with a better game for another console, and ask the beta testers to then play it AGAIN, and invest more money into it.. This is why I hate Namco so much... what dicks.

It's microsofts fault in the first place for their pathetic exclusive deals. The game is exclusive on 360 for a year, at which point a better version is released on the PS3. It's Microsoft that makes this sort of pathetic excuse for game development possible.

It's not the matter of fanboy/crying, its the matter of law suing. I didn't pay 60 bucks for a beta, and this is me who has the 360 AND the ps3. I simply bought the 360 version cause it came out faster -_- now I'm sitting with a 60 dollar beta. If I knew the ps3 version was the "real" version, I would've waited for it and bought that. I want my money back dammit.

yea, you paid for the $60 360 version. at a time when no PS3 version was announced. you bought what they offered. they never labeled it the beta version. they never labeled it the complete never again to be modified or added to version. they labeled it Tales of Vesperia, which is what you bought. if you know anything about jrpgs you should know that its a good chance no matter what that it'll get an enhanced version (that no one but Japan usually sees).
bottom line, go ahead waste you money and try to sue, you won't win. there was no fraud. they put out the product they said they would and you bought it. You can't sue George Lucas because he enhanced the original Star Wars trilogy later. you can't sue other movies that make the later dvd director's cuts. you can't sue software makers who make an upgraded version just because you went ahead and bought the inferior version because it was out sooner (you can't even claim that they OWE you updates unless the product claims it will provide them to you. if you bought an update-less product, thats your problem). you bought the version you bought, which is what they were offering. period.

disgaea 1 has additional content on the psp.The ps2 doesn't since it was made some time ago.

Yeah, I should sue for my copy of FF1 back on the NES too. I played this GBA version a while back, and there was all kinds of new stuff! I paid good money for that NES game, how dare they add stuff to it on a different console and release it!
