Bayonetta has been awarded full marks (40/40) by top gaming rag Famitsu, but only for the Xbox 360 original. Even Famitsu feels obliged to point out the bungled nature of Sega’s PS3 port, giving it a piffling 38/40.
The reviewers point out how “unfortunate” it is that the PS3 version enjoys noticeably less gorgeous visuals than the Xbox 360 version.
Good as it may be, many are doubting whether an exagerrated 100% score is really appropriate.
Pointedly, whilst overseas games media heaped praise upon recently released PS3 flagship title Uncharted 2 as being a paragon of gaming virtue, Famitsu only saw fit to award it 37 points, less than the defective port of Bayonetta, for a title many acclaim as a gaming milestone.
The significant difference of course being that Uncharted 2’s Japanese release was very low key as the title is not expected to sell well in the Japanese market, whereas Platinum has expended a considerable amount on advertising Bayonetta with Famitsu (below you can see the top of their enormous preview article on Famitsu.com) and others…
The superior Xbox 360 version of Bayonetta is available now, as is the loser PS3 version.

Yea too bad a bunch of pictures released for 360 games are bullshots to the extreme - Gears and Forza 3 comes to mind. It's sad 360 gamers believe in those bullshots and when they're actually playing the game, they think it's actually that good, but sadly stills of actual in-game graphics are piss poor. Forza 3 is just slightly better than Forza 2, but F2's lighting is superior. And Gears 2 looks just like Gears 1, and absolutely no where near as good a quality as the bullshots. Even uncharted 1 looks leaps and bounds better than Gears 1. Piss poor 360.

The one great thing MS has over Sony is a more liberal censorship policy towards it's 360 games than Sony and it's PS3 censorship policy which SUCKS.Even Nintendo has eased up ALOT on censorship compared to Sony.
Sorry guys, as nice as Uncharted 2 is to look at and even play briefly, it's a pretty boring game and hohum property.I'll take Resistance/RS(even with all their imperfections) and even Uncharted 1 over Uncharted 2 anyday.

Save for the embarrassing Very Easy Automatic crap, this does look like an outstandingly good 3D action title, there's almost no reason to question the score.
There is, however, every reason to question Uncharted 2's. And what's up with SoulCalibur, Vagrant Story, Wind Waker, Nintendogs, FFXII, MGS4 and DQIX also getting perfect scores? All those games had important shortcomings: SC was too button-mashing friendly, VS's weapon creation feature was just too excruciatingly boring, WW could have used more dungeons, Nintendogs is a fucking joke of a non-game, XII plays itself about 80% of the time and is boring as all hell, MGS4 was admitedly quite a good movie (lulz), and there's just no way DQIX is better than VIII, not to mention the fact that it's the ugliest AND latest one of the list.
