If you find another person ugly, then what you're saying is that they are not attractive to you. Why would people date other people they aren't attracted to? That really doesn't make any sense. Yeah, I know you think you're making some kind of deep philosophical point here, but you're not. Ugly people don't just 'magically' find other ugly people more attractive simply because they are ugly themselves. That's actually a pretty stupid thing to think.

Lower expectations? You say that on the assumption that the other sex is actually looking for a partner. The investment of time and money seems too great for the return, and now that people aren't having the traditional nuclear family ideal shoved down their their throats as much, less are willing to go to the same lengths to take a one in a thousand shot at building a successful relationship.

I would be happy with someone who is ugly, but not fat. Beautiful people are treated differently from birth and have a personality that I find unbearable. No drinking, no drugs, no smoking, no religious, new age, or astrological bullshit--these are the sticking points for me personally. That and demanding reasonable BMI and no existing children is enough to make me an inelligible bachelor at 31yrs. Are these really unreasonable demands?
