Well, considering the past comments on certain artists/china as a whole, this looks like a case of hypocrisy.
As far as source goes, the typical thing is to give credit where credit is due, even if it is some "random Japanese blog". This was not done.
And the fact that Kotaku may have ripped off this site many times before doesn't justify Sankaku doing the same. That's just unprofessional and sinking to their level.
Kotaku has ripped off sankaku complex many times before anyway, so who cares?
The comment copied 5 links from a thread posted on 2ch a while ago, which it did not source either. There is no need to give credit in these cases, and as a rule we only credit 2ch in passing if at all (though we certainly don't take credit for their work). Most Japanese sites do exactly the same thing (as "hiroimono") so I fail to see any problem.
The only problem here is that a stream of mentally deficient anon couldn't work out that the Kotaku piece was actually indirectly sourcing Itai News, which itself is just lifts 2ch threads verbatim, so they erroneously started accusing us of improper sourcing. If the piece had come a month later they would all have forgotten about it.
End of story.

The one from Taiwan makes me nostalgia for some reason. I dunno, but I like it better than all of them except Korea and Japan.
Americans don't attempt anime style because it simply isn't as popular in the US as it is in Asia. Also, Western culture (Meaning Europe and the US) has an obsession with Machismo. This is part of why the visual novel style of game hasn't caught on in the USA and Europe. Because it's all romance, there is rarely any action therefor it is not Macho enough and "gay." Even though the object of the game is to have sex with women, go figure.
Also, Western gamers just expect an experience where they are an active participant rather than a passive reader. We expect fully interactive 3d environments and the ability to make meaningful choices that affect the outcome of the game. Visual Novels just can't offer that.
i think it's false the truth is they started throwing out foreigneirs around 10 years ago and their visual media became shit, cartoons is a good example. and you should not go saying Marvel or DC represent American styles when 90% of the artists are a mix of
European, Latin, Asian, etc.

This, my friends, pretty much sums up what I think of the difference in art direction in games between Asia and America (and to a lesser degree, Europe).
I wonder what's more "gay", preferring to watch cute and pretty girls, or preferring to watch sweaty muscular space marine type guys in a Gears of War-like setting?
