American companies won't resort completely to anime style graphics since they can't draw them properly and either merge them with the Marvel styles or overdo it.

It's also harder for an average american audience to accept, so they have to worry about sales.

Plus it's SO much easier to program the movements since they don't have to re-draw every fucking frame.

As a side thought, if they made a really good eroge, otaku would buy multiple copies. So there would be no worry about sales.

It's unfortunate that a prerequisite for the 2D artistic touch to be popular is that your nation be Asian. Which is ironic, since the big-eye look was inspired by Betty Boop.

Not all 3d cg is bad but if you don't put a lot of money into making it then it will be bad. The videos for Final Fantasy XIII are examples of good Japanese CG but the only really good examples of american cg don't don't render human characters and are only used for background, effects, and non-human like creatures. (for example LOTR)

Of course, because the developers know that all the American player cares about is GIANT EXPLOSIONS ROCKS FLYING EVERYWHERE MOLTEN LAVA etc.

Actually, I think Pixar and Dreamworks make some really awesome and amazing CG. =o And of course, our Hollywood SFX are pretty much King. It just doesn't shine through well in the video games dept., considering most of the games we put out are FPS's.

I don't know Miroku, maybe cause the game tried to have too many plots in one and none of them were well developed enough, in Brooktown High there were 20 different opions, 10 for both genders, and sadly it was handled very poorly, even Tokimeki Memorial did it better.
