Women Fight Back with Chikan Brand

Japanese researchers striving to rid the nation’s trains of the menacing gropers who supposedly infest them have developed a novel countermeasure: a sticker victims can use to stamp the hands of chikan with a red “X,” allowing them to be readily found in a crowd.
The ink used is said to be highly difficult to remove from the skin, posing a severe problem to anyone so marked.
There is some concern that in the process of branding an assailant, innocent bystanders in the vicinity could be marked with the ink, to say nothing of the possibility of unscrupulous women branding innocent men for fun or profit.
The possibility of assailants wearing disposable gloves also seems not to have entered into the equation…

Confirming that Chuo-sen going west of Shinjuku station is the best, most crowded one. Lots of residential areas that way and every morning at 0700-0800 or so there will be many schoolgirls to be had.

What we need are ass or boob (can double as padding for that self-conscious young lass) dye-packs. One ass grope and your assailant, yourself, as well as those around you will be covered with dye! What better way of ensuring that you have witnesses to your assailant by marking everyone near the vicinity!

We start producing gloves...where the end of the fingers are visible so you at least feel something with the fingers, and still can't get marked.

I thought they have seperate man and woman trains? Why would woman be complaining is other woman gropers. Otherwise there will be lots of glove wearing man.
Because separate carriages isn't that common and it's not as if a single carriage for women would be enough for all women who travel on trains.

What if every man starting wearing gloves scared they be marked by mistake. Then how can you tell who is Chikan. Can't Chikan get grope free pass just put on glove to blend in after they get mark and take it off to grope again. What if woman accidentally mark them selves while handling it are they Chikan now?

This really does sound like the best long term solution to these kinds of problems. If men and women just can't get along, why not just separate them? It's not without successful historical precedent. Really, the sexes have been very much separated in most societies for most of history. It's only in modern times with increasing population densities that they've been forced into perpetual close quarters - with results that no one seems pleased with.
Actually in México there are separated sections on the subway for men and women at some hours. In the morning from 6 to 8 am and in the afternoon from 6 pm to 9pm. This is to prevent such incidents in peak hours. And it had good results.
