Famous K-ON! goods maker Fender has announced an Evangelion collaboration, with Ayanami Rei themed ita-guitars set for release.
The guitars, both featuring Ayanami Rei, are set for auction on the 1st of December, with a high price looking likely thanks to the notoriously indiscriminate purchasing patterns of hardcore otaku – Fender in particular have benefited from the position their products enjoy in moe blob hit K-ON!.
Fans will doubtless be wondering where their Asuka is…

I do, but i only got a standard acoustic guitar and a very old red fender stratocaster (w/ a double white stripes design) that was just given to me - this one's too old for its condition you cannot use it anymore so i'm only displaying it in my room).

It wasn't even a joke. The guitar shown above is actually a Telecaster. But it's labelled as a Stratocaster
String through stratocaster. Its not only a novelty, I do see people getting this for reasons other than that.
The inlays are awesome. Would have been better if it only had the inlay and something like a pinstripe which hinted evalangaleon.
Just gave me another reason to hate Fender.

Love Ibanez, a friend of mine has one and it plays like a dream. I'm more of a Gibson and PRS kinda guy though.
Even if I bought it, I wouldn't know what to do with it. I doubt anyone would want to go through the hell of me playing a guitar. >_> <__>

Awesome fretboard, to bad there isn't a bass guitar version since I play the bass. I wonder how expensive it would be to get the Lance of Longius painted on my fretboard...
I think they should give both Rei and Asuka a guitar, seeing as they were both equally as important, Fender shouldnt have singled her out...they probably will make an Asuka guitar, which would be awesome...until you reach the point of choosing which one you want...then you're screwed!

I think it's just amazing that Fender would make something like this. Unique to say the least.

I would say things you buy to supply you with the bottom tier are most likely needs. Although you could then argue that it's possible to supply those needs without using money.
