A Sega otaku with perhaps the most complete collection of Dreamcast related goods ever assembled, including all the games ever released on the platform, has emerged on 2ch.
He admits to having tracked down every single title ever released (some at a cost of hundreds of dollars each) on Sega’s ill-fated but acclaimed Dreamcast system, although even he draws the line at acquiring every version of each game’s cover, or even odd games which were never publically distributed.
A plainly moved 2ch inhabitant responds “If Obama can get the Nobel Peace Prize, then I’d like to award it to you! It’s a total waste, so you have all the qualifications required…”
I hope “odd games which were never publically distributed” does not include “What’s Shenmue?”, as a collector that would be on my list and it’s not too expensive.
Dreamcast was pure win at the time. It lost to the PS2 due to it’s release date IIRC AND piracy was pretty open, since it’s a simple play and burn.
Can’t blame him. The Dreamcast was pretty fucking awesome. I don’t know why it flopped…
