Also, it's good to have an "American" company making video game hardware, to get back in the competition since the Atari days. I say Microsoft is doing a pretty good job, and the fact that the Japanese gaming industry is slowly dying, I don't see a reason for Microsoft to give a damn and focus on where the money is (Europe/America/Australia/etc).

Exactly. Very few Jrpg producers have the money and resources to make a game for the PS3. So most resort to developing for the 360 as it's the most similar console to the PS2. Not only that, but they have an incentive to make a game on xbox, where as sony forces their developers to PAY in order to develop games for them. That's fucking bullshit, at least drop the dev kit prices and give jrpgs an incentive to build for a platform clearly not catered to the old PS2 market.

Actually PCs are much affordable. video cards and other parts are only upgraded from time to time, more often depending on the user's preference to buy or not.
When it comes to games, settings can be tweaked in such a way that the game would fit the performance capacity of the PC.
Consoles on the other hand, cannot be upgraded so easily, if you want to play newer games you always have to buy the whole package. Obvious reason there's a PS2 and PS3.
I haven't upgraded my video card in years and it is still running strong. Buy smart and your parts won't cost a lot, and putting it together is about as difficult as playing with legos. If you are unable to put your brain to work, then yeah, buy a console.
"A bit" stronger? Fag. My PC has 5x the power of either PS3 or X360. Current PCs can run games in 2560x1600 - smoothly, unlike faggy consoles with their upscaled 1280x720. Oh, and unlike you, I can use all that power for work, too - good luck trying to do anything constructive with a console.

I understand that has specific interests in how Xbox360 does in Japan, (I also dont like the gaybox), but this is only one market, and its not a particularly huge one at that. If now, lets say China or India, which are huge markets, were to suddenly drop microsoft products...ouchies. Microsoft also does extremely well in its domestic market, the U.S., so all the news articles depicting the collapse of Xbox in Japan...who cares? It is more natural for Japanese people to support Japanese console companies...
