Japan’s previously introduced bishoujo android HRP-4C has been given the all but inevitable Hatsune Miku cosplay makeover and then made to sing hit Miku song “Melt”; the results can be seen below:
The unit is able to robotically shuffle about “like a fashion model”, but likely cannot manage any convincing dance moves, explaining the static nature of the performance.

I can see it, robot cosplay while it didn't dance or wave and point a leek like Miku Hatsune does, it did its best. The robot makers really need to work on that high pitched scream since it makes every one shreak, its really as bad as a bad set of speakers.
for all the people out there saying that she (the robot) should have the actual seiyuu face: the HRP-4C wasnt supposed to have her face on it. Her vocal output is processed using Vocaloid software, hence her wearing Miku's attire, basically just for the lols. In real life this wouldn't be far off what she really looks like, maybe slightly less chubby cheeks and of course blue eyes.
Though, could you imagine if all humanoids were modelled in the manga style? Awesome, or weird?

This is just the beginning. Who knows (and really, who knows), in a few decades Miku will become a classic icon of robotics instead of just a program.

Seriously, give credit where it's due, that was really cool. Given that a few years ago this stuff was in the realm of Isaac Asimov and other science fiction writers.
So....soon they will get the voice/singing abilities up and improved as well as softer/smoother curves and skin like material all over and even better body movement.
I still say that it's neat as hell.....
