Japan has placed dead last in a survey of which nations have the most favourable self-image, with a variety of small and insignificant nations topping the list.
The survey asked participants in 33 countries about how much trust, admiration and pride they felt for their country, with the results being presented as an index:
Via The Economist.
Not sure what they are not proud of. For an island nation they are doing better than even bigger countries. I guess a lot of Japanese don’t know how bad it can be outside their country.
That’s something I didn’t expect to read!! realy!!
Well I guess that SORT OF makes up for Nanking. Okay, not really.
Well, reading this gives people and odd taste of what part of other nation’s internet culture think of people.
Anyways, I will say I am proud of the country I live in because it is the country I live in. It had better, and it had worse, but I still love it. I am also not afraid to say that I am indeed a citizen of the United States, and no, we are all not total jerks and loud mouthed idiots, sadly, at times they are the louder voices. Oddly though, seems most other countries also have people with the same view of their country the ignorant ones here have. The human race as a whole at times saddens me to no ends, and actually makes me sad to be a human, not a member of a country, but an actual human being.
In my own opinion, the human race as a whole needs to grow up and get along with each other. Seriously, it is a miracle that we still exist.
This is the best post ever. Not only do I agree with much of it, but it is just filled with Truth.
your essay aside, LONG LIVE BRITTANIA AND THE EMPIRE we will rule the pathetic insects which dare to call themselves independant again
I can’t help but think this survey is screwed with.
Besides, the question is much too vague.
