PSP Go Cracked in 2 Days

The PSP Go has apparently been hacked to run unsigned code within only 2 days of its release, with “backup” enthusiasts rubbishing Sony’s efforts to secure the console, though as yet actually running pirated games on the device is a long way off.

Sony always seems to be desperately fighting against the homebrew community, trying to block us out of the systems we spent lots of our own cash on. Sadly, these guys really can’t catch a break. I’ve already managed to update an exploit to work on the Go.
HERE’S THE BASICS:
Yes, there are unreleased PSP exploits out there for various games. Yes, they still work, even on the PSP Go.
No, I didn’t discover this exploit. It’s been floating around for a while; it was just never used.
NO, I *DO NOT* plan on sharing any useful details about this. I want to see how long this will fester before Sony finally figures out how to fix it. That means I won’t be sharing the files or even naming the game I used to do it.
Yes, it works on all systems and all firmwares.
No, it’s not going to lead to custom firmware, piracy, or a Pandora for the Go. It can’t write to the flash, and it even seems to be unable to overwrite the system settings, which was always unblocked before on the older systems. It’s user-mode only.
Oh, and if you think this is a hoax… look at the video, and notice the version.txt file from OFW 6.10.
Although the exploit only allows unsigned code to be run on the device, a long way from allowing the full scale piracy hoped for by most PSP hackers, it is hardly an auspicious start for a device Sony clearly hopes will help wean consumers off physical media and onto a DRMed retail system it controls completely.

I don't know, while fanboyism does have a god (the idea of the system), angels (copies of the system), a creator (the people who created the system), and considers nonbelievers (people who don't idolize the system) evil, you can't - to my knowledge- use it to justify killing people. What good is a religion that you can't use to justify killing people?

i dont get it, why dont thay make the PSP's free and do a better job at Safeguarding there games :P.. that way thay would lose all the hackers trying to hack to make homebrews... and thay would only have to fight the hackers that work with cracking games...

The PSP Go is the worst system on the market. If Sony had started with it, rather than the UMD playing PSPs, there wouldn't have been an issue, but the Go came in when the UMD running PSP had already had years of releases, and no one in their right mind is going to trade in their old PSP for an even more expensive PSP that requires them to buy a brand new system and that is incompatible with all past game releases on the system and all future releases by devlopers who are stuck on UMD. Expect a PSP Go Xtreme in the near future, that will essentially be a bigger PSP Go, with a UMD player. But by the time that happens, I hope the PSP fails and is dropped. It was always a terrible system with too many damn features no one gives a damn about. Simplicity is the key. Nintendo gets it, so why can't Sony and Microsoft? I don't regret buying my PSP 2000, but at the same time, I refuse to support it ever again. I play what I have and shrug off all new releases. I may trade in the system and my games for it to expand my PS3 library. I hear Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Tales of Vesperia are pretty good, lol!
PSP a terrible system? Have you played any games on your PSP to justify that? As if having a console like performance on the go is not enough for you. Maybe the games you play sucks, w/c is bad for you. As for me, my PSP 2000 is the best entertainment investment I've made!

would love to see a few examples, but from all i've played and seen, monster hunter is the only one that's ever held my interest. any other game tends to have shitty controls and gameplay or some other major let down. list a top 10 perhaps?

Considering this is just an evolution of Sony's original plans for the PS3, we can probably expect to see Blu-Rays taken from them soon and have all PS3 titles download onry, after all... *rolls eyes* Everyone in the World has a broadband connection with unlimited bandwidth. QFT Sony.
Small screen on PSP Go is really bad. There is no point for me to buy it even if they hack it. My good ol' PSP 2000 is enough for me. I'll wait for PSP2 capable of emulating PS2 games.
