Keen eyed watchers of Biribiri and Kuroko romance anime To Aru Kagaku no Railgun were delighted to note that not only does Shakugan no Shana’s Shana make an appearance (along with a friend), several of the key cast members of Toradora also appear, though age-shifted into extremely moe younger versions…
With two such cameos in the first episode alone, fans will be be wondering what is in store in future episodes.

Ugh, shana... this anime instantly gets -1 for this factor alone.
Butthurt much lately?
Funny... i saw that scene and i didnt notice that
btw, i also didnt notice the cameos i the pictures posted, they dont look like very much in my opinion
Nah.. the boy may looks like Ryuuji, but Yasuko is supposed to be blonde!
The glasses guy looks like Noto, though.
In the other pic, Shana and Kazumi is certain already, by judging the posture and uniform. LOL, I though she prefer melon bread.
Is it me or that loli eating a crepe in the bottom right in the 2nd pic looks like the heroine... what's her name again(?).... in Marimite?
I don't get how they look like Ryuuji or Taiga... There hair's completely off... and you can't use the face argument since most anime characters have the same face...
There's the sharp patch on the kids hairstyle, but that's it... and Taiga?
I know, this is just fan-wanking.
+1
ah. . . .i see ryuuji. . .so. . .railgun timeline is before toradora timeline?
>:3
I don't see the cameos from Toradora at all.
I...don't see the cameos.
Are you sure this isn't someone's overactive imagination?
I'm not too excited about them, but off the top of my head, I saw Noto, Ryuuji, and Yasuko in the first picture. Noto's the most obvious, and I think Yasuko is the woman behind him, with Ryuuji (at least, the hair matches... the eyes... kinda?) as a little kid. Yasuko has brown hair, instead of her bleached blonde.
Why Ryuuji and Noto are significantly different ages, I have no clue.
Wow, Japanese Otaku sure see all. I didn't even notice the cameo.
wait, is it the two girls in front of the line in the second image? because it looks like Shana and Minorin
1° Pic: loli Taiga, shota Ryuuji on the right.
2° Pic: Shana with kasumi yoshida on the left.
Darn, Shana finished all the crepes, that there's no more left for Biribiri and she ended up pulling out an orz ...
ok I'm thinking the shota in the first photo is takasu ryuji from toradora, the loli in the first photo as well is shana, and the next photo, the lady with the lipstick is ami?
I thought glasses and friend are those two lackeys from Toradora
Which pic in the article is showing which?
in the bottom pic you have two girls wearing Shana's school uniforms in the middle of the queue.
in the top pic, you have the two guys next in line holding the Toradora school bags.
In the top I think it's the two kid that look like Toradora character
Hmm, I didn't know Yasuko was a brunette.
its in the credits they play the OP (same with every first episode) i saw the taiga look-alike but not shana cause that would be hard cause shana's design in eye's are different to both toradora and index character design i watched episode 1 it was bad made index series look decent which say's alot cause that was bad also...
i just watched it, gives me a slice of life feeling. Just wondering there was an ipod reference some where in there, can they actually copy the whole ipod layout like that and not get sued?
They can as long:
a) they don't claim it's an ipod
b) it has distinctive differences or is otherwise clearly unidentifiable from an original
it's an iPear
How was the first episode? Is it better than Index? I want to know because I haven't seen Index and don't feel like watching it.
Personally, I really enjoyed the first season and railgun's manga. I don't really know why people say it was bad. I thought the story was good the characters were interesting. In fact its one of my favorites. I would like to read the novels but I cant read japanese.
Hey go watch it. It's way better than index plus 110 percent more moe.
Watch Index for story. Watch Biribiri for Yuri.
Lets see,
First anime= lame main character, not so great plot.
Second anime= BiriBiri X Kuroko Yuri action.
index is mascot
this is main
Now how about a new season of Shana and Taiga...
Tora no Shana please.
The ep was great btw....
lols ftw
Next spin off "To aru no hentai loligun"
Being a better lead than a Mary Sue Tsundere #721 is not really an accomplishment.
>First anime= lame main character
ಠ_ಠ
I'm sorry, but Touma is a better lead than Mary Sue Tsundere #721.
>not so great plot.
Compared to this? Lol, you're in for a disappointing season.
I will concede that yuri fans will love this spinoff a lot more than Index, though.
than just watch it if you wanna know
20 minutes really isn't a big waste of time, so yes. Do it.
coincidence?
It's hard to call it better or worse than Index, 'cause they both take different directions. This isn't like a retelling of the events of Index, but more like it's own story. (If they keep to the manga, anyway.) They episode was good, though.
i wanna see the palmtop taiga.
Wow!!! Somebody has good eyes.
Just my personal opinion: its sh*t.
Phey good thing its not shit as well! You're shit.
Other than the yuri crap that you're all so hyped up about, it isn't really that good.
who needs anything else other than the yuri *crap*?
Well, I certainly prefer yuri without crap.
Whew! Good thing it's not shit. I was scared for a second.
