Probably because the rendering style, battle mechanics, GUI, and pacing all resemble a Persona game.
Don't like the new character design, and not into RPG's....no big hope's for this one in my case(and I love FSN btw,incase you're getting the wrong picture).

While I'm all for more F/SN and an rpg sounds fun, I hope that they will add new heroic spirits. I'm not saying that I don't want to see the old ones, I'm just saying that there is a lot of unused potential when you take into consideration the countless other heroes that could make it into the F/SN series. IMO the best outcome would be to include all the pre-existing heroic spirits but also add a bunch of new ones. After all, an rpg won't be too fun if you're just fighting the same few opponents over and over again. I also hope that it will let you chose which class you want and not just let you play as Saber and that's it.

Just wondering, are we even that this Saber is the same Saber we know? Is she Arturia or Joan of Arc. Fate/Zero say they look alike afterall.
I really hope this isn't a default outfit for Saber and I hope other characters don't get design changes like these. Having Saber showing her pantsu like that makes her look like a slut and F/SN already has one too many of those. I loved the fact that Type-moon usually avoids cheap fanservice like this, I even thought that the Saber Lily outfit was too revealing for someone like Saber (though I do really like the way it looks). I really hope this isn't a default outfit for Saber and I hope other characters don't get design changes like these.
Saber's costume lacks design sense. In short, ugly. Of all things they could have done, they have to make the skirt translucent. It would be nice if the new design is on the same standard as the Saber Lily version.

Incredible! Not even in my wildest dreams i would have imagined that create a character design uglier than the original was possible for Fate/stay night!

Yup, ugly. Saber's "skirt" plainly sucked, as did her gauntlets. Lancer's armor, too. And Berserker. And...
Well, you get the picture. Maybe 3-4 designs were good, and these were that of high-school students, that is, school uniforms and typical teen clothes. Only Assassin, Rider and Caster were exception.
I don't see how the original character design was ugly. Sure, it was plain and could have used more detail and shading, but still very attractive all in all...

I was thinking the same, Saber is one of the few current heroines that doesn't need to show her physical attributes to be a badass character. This design makes it look like she -or the game- won't be able to stand up for it herself and needs to resort to cheap methods to ensure some level of success.
I'm sure it'll be gone and Rins skirt will grow suddenly...
