Endless Eight Volume 1 Sales Announced

The long awaited sales figures for the first disc of the infamous Endless Eight Haruhi arc have finally been announced.
In its first week, the DVD sold 14,104 copies, as compared to 26,265 for the previous DVD.
In comparison:
17,172 Hetalia 4
14,929 Tenipuri 2
14,104 Haruhi
4,510 Queen’s Blade 4
3,763 Tales of the Abyss 8
Although this is a disappointment to those hoping for an utterly humiliating disaster of a magnitude sufficient to see the staff responsible from both KyoAni and Kadokawa hung by their heels from the nearest available lamppost, the real punishment is thought likely to begin with the next three DVDs of all but identical content.
It does however sadly demonstrate that there are those otaku willing to buy anything, with even the most outrageous antics from production staff still forgiven if marketed with a sufficient enough dose of moe…

How the hell do you know? Just because they are the producers doesn't mean that KyoAni wasn't involved. There is a board that decides shit like this and guess what? KyoAni was on that board so they carry some of the shame. If they won't commit sepuku we'll do it for them.
That shit of "kyoani did what kadokawa told them to do" is a play of "good cop, bad cop" and I don't fall on that shit. Both are guilty of turning gold in shit.

This is the first e8 dvd. I'm sure the 2nd-4th will sell ~half of it
I'm sure disc 3 will be in the 1,000 sells bracket.2 and 4 might sell ok.
I hated Queen's Blade with a passion, and I'm genuinely disappointed that this outsold the latest DVD by such a huge margin.

The Negima manga is a masterpiece haha. Sekire was also an ecchi anime with a decent plot. Does Sailor moon count? haha cause back in the day, that could be risque.

The first Negima anime was a total piece of shit. Negima Neo or Negima!? was funny as hell and the OAD's are sweet. Manga is awesome too.

This is just for this week so the other shows on that list probably came out earlier and sales go down the longer it is out.
I guess most people would buy the earlier episodes of the arc. The interesting sales will be the DVD containing Episode 3-7.
The last two episodes episodes could sell just as good (worse) as the first dvd.
This is DVD only.. right? how about BD? I mean not only for this show but for other show as well. I really want to see BD - DVD sales comparison.
I find it amazing that people buy DVDs at all these days. Downloading it, I can understand, but it's all about Blu-ray now.
