A 51-year-old teacher has been arrested after eloping with his 14-year-old pupil on a “honeymoon,” saying he intended to marry the girl.
The man apparently taught at a Sendai area middle school, and became involved with one of his pupils. The pair subsequently arranged a romantic trip to Hokkaido together.
The teacher was charged with having sex with the girl over the course of several days at the hotel were the pair stayed. He admits the charges, saying “We intended to get married. We came to Sapporo together.”
Police pursued the pair after being alerted by the families of both teacher and student. It is not clear whether the teacher was already married.

I wonder if the authorities know that the statutory age in Japan is 14. Of course, the problem here isn’t the statutory age, rather, it’s the fact that the elder was in a position of authority (teacher, parent, officer, doctor, etc etc). I wonder what the young lady had to say / feel about all of that.

There is a lot of Schadenfreude here. The guy was arrested because other people, besides the girl denounced him, so the relationship was CONSENSUAL. They were not hurting anyone.
On the other hand, there are THOUSANDS of sex repressed freaks who can’t stand other people enjoying their sex life. Let’s be honest who did not want to screw with her classmates since middle school? EVERYBODY; but a man has to be a real SOB to get pussy at that age, so must people had to cope to being sexually frustrated at that age, and at least for some YEARS.
