A woman who had sex with a 15-year-old girl and took pictures of herself having sex with her Alsatian faces up to 15 years in prison.
The woman, a 41-year-old veterinary technician in Florida, came to the attention of authorities after an anonymous informant passed the animal shelter where she had worked for nine years a disc containing pictures she had taken of her having sex with her pet German shepherd.
The humane society immediately sacked her, but she would face no charges for having sex with the dog, as bestiality is not illegal in Florida.
However, the disc also contained pictures of her performing oral sex on a 15-year-old girl, which police used to charge her with “lewd or lascivious battery,” the Florida term for statutory rape.
Her 42-year-old husband also faces child pornography charges, in addition to those of lascivious battery, after police found he not only took the photos but also had child pornography on a computer in his possession.
The woman could be sentenced to up to 15 years, but sources report a 5 1/2 year sentence is likely. She will also be branded a sex offender.

People getting their lifes ruined for doing virtually nothing, including innocents getting a death sentence. People being raped and turning out worse inside prison than when they came in, rather than being rehabilitated. A law that allows people to easily buy guns like there's no tomorrow, causing there to be 45 times more murders each year than any other western democratic country(second place was 200.USA has 9000 :-$), and the list goes on. I have to make a note never to go to the US. Free capital of the world my ass.

Any claims of "bestiality" are a joke, Humans are animals (mammals)and we have sex all the time, I would never have sex with a dog but still, such claims seem pointless.
Anti-beastiality laws are probably a hand-down from English Common Law and Bible-based stuff.
Rationally considered, there are good reasons for *some* of these sorts of laws.
With regard to underage persons, parents, teachers, and older people - the point of the law SHOULD be to prevent the powerful from taking unfair advantage of the less-powerful.
Because of the normal relationship which exists between:
Underage persons and their parents
Underage persons and older family members
Underage persons and their teachers
Underage persons and governmental workers
Underage persons and older "outsiders"
the underage persons are not able to give effective informed consent regarding sex to these people; the power imbalance is too great. The underage persons are too easily "convinced" that it's okay, or that they want it to happen.
Though the law prohibiting sexual contact between these parties may override some genuinely mutually-desired relationships, it's deemed that for the best good, we protect the bulk at the possible inconvenience of a few.
Anti-beastiality laws, logically, are an extension of this concept (protecting the less-powerful from being unfairly taken advantage of by the more-powerful). By the fact they cannot communicate in a "known-to-humans" language, non-human animals cannot give effective informed consent.
The fact that we kill non-human animals, strip them of their hides, and eat their flesh (mmmmm.... bacon... and steak!) is a separate issue.
I'd like to see statutory rape laws revised with respect to near-age sexual contact, but it ain't gonna happen.

I've lived in Florida for approaching two decades now and I honestly haven't a clue the less mentally capable exist en masse here.
