Interesting style. I can't even tell that some of them are drawings at first glance.

The first thing that popped into my head when I saw the first two pictures was a blow up doll. I laugh so hard at myself, but then saw all the rest of the pictures and realized it wasn't. I have to admitted this guy has a very unique art style. It's very refreshing and pleasant to look at.

The first one is definitely uncanny valley, at first glance it looked like a person in one of those anime head things.

The later ones that lean more towards animu are fine. The beginning ones scare the crap out of me, it reminds me of kigurumi. *shutters*

I agree with the anon here. Its really hit and miss. When it works, it can look quite stunning, but in general it feel more "lifeless" then general for some reason, although I have a feeling it have a lot to do with the color choice and the abuse of photographic reference. Although to get it to look so consistently old photography and sterile is a testament to the craftsmanship, but not necessarily artistry, I suppose?

It's basically just removal of black lines, with some more effort put into shading. Not a new concept, although putting the generic anime faces isn't seen very often in artists this capable.

Interesting that we see such a complete new style. But it's a little to simplified. The faces look like it's some figurine or something. She must try and make her 3D a little more convincing. The hair are good though.

I'm not a fan. It looks a little lifeless and flat in the wrong ways. Which is odd, since he/she is using the gradients and altered photographs to create the pieces... they sort of have this collaged look to them.
Obviously that's just my tastes... a lot of people here seem to really enjoy the work.

it's a different style because it isn't really that good. :/ It's just like.. lineless artwork. It's alright, but not amazing for me.

first picture is ripped from an Ariel Rebel set, I know that for a fact.

In my opinion, he really needs to focus on his style.

The style just doesn't exist because he is simply copying images using a different painting style, he fails at creating harmony, some pics looks good, but in other the body and the clothes are too realistic for the faces he do and end up with something pretty scary, instead of realistic, it looks fake, they look like mannequin dolls or like those cosplayers with mask.

3D body on 2D face never work, the head looks like copy-pasted over the body, you can't left something mid-stylized.

When it works, it looks pretty sweet! When it doesn't, Holy Kigurumi!

Man, this 2D-3D is awesome!

I've seen work similar to this before, and it's actually been vector work, not Photoshop. The clues are the texture of the shading, and the very clean edges. Not that I'm saying that's what he/she uses, but I think it's likely.

I actually really love this style. It would be interesting to see a CG anime done in this style.

Also, any post with Taiga in it is win in my book.

They look to much like plastic dolls in my opinion, anything Anime in 3D I prefer cel shading.
