Sega has accidentally leaked a confidential document which suggests the PS3 could be gaining full PS2 emulator capabilities after all, along with the ability to play Dreamcast titles.

Sony is of course on the record as emphatically stating that there is no chance of PS2 emulation on the PS3, ever; though considering their denials of the PS3 Slim it does appear that they are not worth taking seriously as a source on their own products…

Hey if they actually put that backwards compatibility WITH dreamcast emulation as well, I'm getting a PS3. I mean crap. It'll go nicely with my wii and 360.
Wow, them making all/most ps2 games into psn dlc titles would really help the sells in the psn , most likely another way to sell the psp go, if they were able to make it good quality, and able to run in the psp go without any major freezing then it might just take over the psp/ps2 industry... Since they decided to ship a few Japanese ps2 games to be psn exclusive, if the chose kh:fm and kh2:fm It's VERY LIKELY it will sell good in the north american markets, although if they did, I'd wish they would import evangelion too (since the english dubbed movie just came out)... In retrospect this all is very exciting, and mostly uncertain, I just hope no one ask playstation about this since if they found out, sega may lose it's connection with them and they might get angry and not even do it...

If you played PS2 games on PS3 with the disc, it will lag and glitch on some games. Because its an emulation. Metal Gear Solid 3 did this often on large maps or near fire.
Microsoft at least ports games from consoles such as n64 and UPGRADES them. Sony hasn't done shit, especially with FF7. It still looks like shit after all these years, what a scam.

What does Yakuza Stand for?
Might refer to the game franchise of the same name, but I'm actually not sure in this case.
Yakuza is refering to SEGA's series Ryu Ga Gotoku(wich should actually translate to "Like a Dragon". this would be talk of the 3rd one(I guess 4th if you count spin off). this 3rd game is the second best selling game on ps3 next to MGS4 in japan. Just recenlty there was a comfirmation on translation of Ryu ga Gotoku 3.
Amazing game series and by far my fav game on PS3 bar none. Think River city Ransom but nowadays with a deep set of stories.
Actually considering the price they are probably talking about the first Yakuza game (which was made for PS1/PS2 and it makes sense they port it to PSN). Yakuza 3 is on a Blu-Ray disc so it's not possible physically to upload it to PSN (who would donwload a 50 gig PS3 game?). Yakuza 3 will be released next year in the US, in normal BD form.
It's not like the game weight the maximum capacity of a blu-ray and if it does, damn they should learn compression..
Who knows, they might actually do a full BD download since it is a "Japanese Import" section on the PSN.
Since they can cut the localization costs of printing and distributing BD, it might actually be that cheap. And it would be great for people who play and import Japanese games in the first place.

Wow, I hope that "Valkyria 1937" note refers to the Valkyria Chronicles sequel. I'm pretty much sold on getting the PSP sometime in the future to be able to play it, but for Sony to put it out in a game+PSP bundle makes things a lot easier. :D
