The newly released preview for the upcoming Halo Legends anime (below) has impressed many, but some can’t help but notice some curious discrepancies between the anime and the game, such as the complete absence of ranged combat in favour of lots of jumping around and punching…
The studios involved have previously attracted attention with the liberties taken, and with this latest trailer it certainly appears they are in no mood to be constrained by the setting of the original game, though whether this is to the advantage or detriment of the anime remains to be seen.

SO is this Microsoft's attempt at creating an anime of Halo, so that it reaches out to the hearts of many japanese .... maybe so by the time the next Xbox is released, the japanese would think better of Halo and the system it belongs to?
Well, I for one think it looks/sounds pretty good. I don't really see why so many people dislike the English voiceover, they sound great to me.
On another note, how do we native English speakers know what good Japanese voice casting really sounds like? Just as we find flaws in English dubbing, I'm sure the Japanese have their own opinions of Japanese voiceovers.
Japanese voiceover are harshly trained and there is much more concurrency.
They do their job much better than these shitty english dubs...
well in japan voice actors count as a real job, so there are lots who want to be one, so the ones chosen to dub are best of the best

It's called cashing in. When something is popular, and this is, then the company wants to try to make more money off of it.
You should be glad they're not going way the hell overboard with this. Bungie seems to be doing a good job with quality control in their spinoffs.
Would you rather a few new and good things here and there? Or would you prefer the Halo lunchbox, Saturday morning cartoon, drinking cups, yo-yos, backpacks, DS games, lego sets (Actually, that would rock), comic book series, etc. Most American companies do this and it sucks.
By the way, your point becomes null and void as soon as you attempt a play on words that involves "gay" in some way (Gaylo, Gaystation, etc). If you don't like it, you don't need to pay attention to it. It's that simple.

YOU SUCK MONEY COCK (to anon above me), halo was fucking awesome... I thought i'd never like FPS' till I played Halo... I still don't like many but that's to halo i've at least tried two other's, COD and Resistance and I like'em too... Halo was my gateway to Other FPS' and it's a great game with a great story... now i'll admit, Halo 3 didn't have the same luster Halo 2 did but still the Trilogy is awesome!! So stop fucking bashing Halo!!

it would be even better if they just make it a live action instead of anime version, it look like upgrade version of starship trooper(not the movie).
the anime doesnt seem too bad. Did it mention which studio did this artwork? I didnt catch that info.
The artwork/drawing seemed to lack a little bit of detail, say on the armour or otherwise.
Anyways, the action is very interesting though un-Halo like in many ways. Range fighting was sorta left out but then again, this is just a preview and MC going melee was pretty cool. Intrigued and will want more.
It's done by Studio 4C. And there are going to be different styles of animation and different stories.
The animation style looks a lot like Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bepop, I even recognized the character design, the best example is the "hot shot" sniper kid with his red flashy hair style, his hair looks like Mugen.
Samurai champloo and cowboy bebop had actual good animation, don't compare these with a blur between low detail keyframes and linear gradient coloured hair.
