1000% Rise in Breast Reductions for Men

Men concerned about the size of their breasts are opting for breast reduction surgery in record numbers, delighting plastic surgeons.
A meeting of UK plastic surgeons was told that over the past 5 years breast reduction surgery for men has increased 1000%, with the operation now the fifth most popular cosmetic surgery for men.
Plastic surgeons are delighted by all the new business:
“We are seeing men of all ages coming in to have their breasts made smaller. They are losing their inhibitions about the operation and deciding to undergo an operation which previously was a women’s operation.”
In 2008 alone a thousand men underwent the procedure, which costs in the region of $1,700.
The other top operations are nosejobs, eyelifts, ear corrections and liposuction. The popularity of penis modifications is not mentioned.
The UK has one of the highest rates of obesity in the world, with 2003 UN estimates suggesting 23% of the population is obese, only beaten by Mexico with 24% and the US with some 31%.
For some reason the plastic surgeons fail to mention the utility of losing weight in reducing breast size…

while there's a genetic predisposition, it's mainly a problem caused by bad eating habits in your childhood
it has to do how fat cells work and how after exceeding the limits of those cells in early ages makes your entire body work accordingly to that excess of fat later on.. also true for skinny people

What you described for Mexico is actually an American dish. My friend from Mexico City, Mexico says there's no such thing as what U.S. calls "tacos" in Mexico.
US "Tacos" are a big piece of fried tortilla with a lot of crap in it... a real taco is small, with meat (bistek, or pastor's meat which is just beef meat and chilli)...you put some lemon in it a little bit of salt and it tastes like heaven :D
you can also make tacos with eggs, cheese, beans, fish, chicken and practically everything... hell, I ate some tuna tacos last week!
They should go all the way and become women. It's a hype in UK anyway. ^_^

Because we Americans have shit in our water that makes us fat by defying the laws of nature. No kidding. If someone was exposed to the chemicals in infancy, they would gain 30% more weight from eating the same amount of food as someone who wasn't exposed.

I don't know about the UK and Mexico, but in the America, the food industry has structured itself to have cheap crappy food that is advertised to people constantly. Try watching TV in America without seeing some plastic burger and sexy music trying to get you to eat yourself into a coma. The big companies load their products with semi addictive ingredients and lots of calories in an attempt to make Americans fatter, and hooked on their products.
Food industry reform should be a top issue as soon as the economy recovers. It would drastically lower the cost of health care, and would actually solve the main problem as opposed to the "fat tax".
Actually, when the same standards that Americans use are applied to Europe, Americans are not the fatest. They aren't even in the top 50% of "most obese Westerners". If you want to compare two things, you need to use the same system of meausurements and standards.
