Actually this stuff is really cool. The exhibits that model this is called BODY WORLDS. Same one that's shown in Casino Royale. Really neat especially if you're familar with human anatomy.

He got the cadavers legally. Before the people died, they gave him permission to plastify their body and let him use it for exhibition purposes and the contract probably states in any pose.

And this is quite interesting but slightly wierd though.

Anyone who says this is art or there's nothing wrong with sex or corpses and we should grow up, please think again.

It's OK to use corpses for educational or research purposes, but for God's sake, those are still human beings. Using them in this way for the amusement of the crowds is desecrating the dead. It's not art, it's not cool, it's not mature. It's just sick and crazy.

Oh, c'mon peeps. It IS interesting. It IS revolting. It IS useful for artists wanting to see a real body in the inside and for people generally interested in anatomy. And it WILL be used by sick people to masturbate to those things. But it isn't that bad as to say that it's a piece of rotten shit. I've seen rotten shit-art, and it isn't this.

This guy's exhibit is currently in my hometown of Buffalo, and they made all students taking Biology at my college go to see it, and the public here has gone en mass to see it as well. The whole exhibit is creepy and objectionable, but it's a great learning tool, and it's certainly fascinating. Although his latest thing may be going too far.

Not long ago one of this guys exhibits found its way to my local science center. I have a picture of myself playing chess against and preserved dead guy.........creepy.

Ahh. How did I know this was going to be the work of Gunther von Hagens? I never got a chance to go see Body Worlds when it toured around here, but I heard a lot about it.

I recall watching a film about the exhibit where we saw how they went about parts of the plastination process..it's really remarkable how it all works.

As a whole, his work is sort of horrific, but at the same time it's really intriguing. It *is* the body, after all. I've always been a bit torn on how to feel about it. I think I'd go see the exhibit if it ever came back here, though.

I went to one of these expositions on a school trip; one of the people there offered me to touch a human liver cut in half. I don't remember if I saw them on that position but there were many awkward ones like dancing, stretching over a pyramid, or a fat man cut in half to show just how much fat there is really inside .not the weirdest I have seen but I guess they had to try it at least once, oh and if anyone bothered to read this far it did not smell so bad just weird.It was very nice

I wouldn't mine people using my corpse and putting it on display (immoratlization and whatnot), but putting random corpses together in sexual positions is on the same level as dipping someone's hand in hot water while they're sleeping, it's stupid and serves no purpose.
