Stop being so butthurt RRoD360 fags for buying such an inferior system that can't even last 1 year before bricking itself and not getting the superior PS3 Slim.
1 Year? Yea... right... I have had mine for 2 years and haven't had any problems, no overheating RROD scares, or anything. And its the original Pro console.
Anyway, I am not all that enraged by ToV coming out for the PS3 since I had already planned on purchasing one, this just gives me even more of a reason to get one. I will be more than happy to purchase a second copy of ToV.
Yes I agree, I too own both systems and an Xbox copy of ToV, but since I plan to get the PS3 version as well I could really care less which version is better since I’ll have both!
I own both systems, but I already bought this game once. I see no reason to buy this again, the new stuff looks like it makes an easy game even easier.
360/PS3 fanboi-ism aside, I can't help but wonder:
* How many of the differences between the games are due to marketing decisions?
* How many differences are due to one machine's internal organization being easier to use than the other's?
* How many differences are due to one machine's SDK being easier to use than the other's?
* How many differences are due to one machine's programming team being better or worse than the other (or luckier or un-luckier than the other), and one team getting in a time crunch and having to delete ("that code is just not reliable") or drop features in order to make their announced shipping dates?
PS3 reaffirms it is the best "true" system on the market, and it does so by spitting in the face of all 360 owners who once jumped around while holding up a handful of games like chattering monkeys and declared, "ha, ha, we got these xxx games and you don't! 360 rulz! PS3 suxorz!" And now, PS3 gets those games, later, but with infinite improvements. I shall thoroughly enjoy this game and Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Mmmm, and that Fallout 3 content launching this month is going to be, as James Franco put it, "So good."
It's great that your informing about all the new additions to the game but is it possible you could do it without the obvious bias towards Sony?
Honestly, all the bias is doing is starting flame wars which are painful to read through.
I do own a 360 and am a tad bit irked about the situation but overall I feel like I got the Vesperia experience.
Sure, they added the loli with her own story, more voice acting and more artes but in general it'll be the same plot so I do feel like I got my money's worth, considering I played through it 4 times.
Hopefully, Vesperia+ will make it's way over to the English speaking countries so all of the PS3 owners can experience it.
It's one of the better "Tales of" out there and I rarely found myself bored of the story, one of those "save the world" scenarios, due to the characters being fairly fleshed out. Made the game very enjoyable.
Defiantly one of the better JRPG's of the "next-gen" era.
"A GIF is provided to show to your Xbox 360 owning friends" Could stop laaughing!
But seriously, there’s enough new content in this game to consider it a whole new Tales game! I sure hope this game gets localized in the US soon and please keep Judith’s jiggling boobs!
Never care about this game when it was released and I'm sure as hell am not interested in it now on the PS3. Jiggle physics? I have DoA Xtreme 2 and other games for that feature anyway.
Artefact describes Patty Fleur as a "pirate loli". How is she loli? The Wikipedia definition of lolicon is:
"In Japan, the term describes an attraction to young girls, or an individual with such an attraction. Outside Japan, the term is less common and most often refers to a genre of manga and anime wherein childlike female characters are depicted in an erotic manner."
So going by that, she isn't exactly loli, right? It looks like she isn't wearing any pants, but I've seen screenshots that show she's actually wearing shorts under that pirate coat. I think the creators were aiming more for a child-like innocence in her character; roughly along the lines of how a 3 year old kid has no problems running around outside in just their diaper.
I dunno, maybe I'm missing out on something here. Have there been any in-game videos that show her doing anything that could be considered erotic?
Judith already had plenty of bounce in the original version. One additional instance of poorly-animated jiggle is hardly worth the price of readmission.
Curses! While I've been pretty ambivalent about the pirate loli factor (I'm more of a ninja MILF man), the addition of jiggling boobs makes me weep bitter tears of craven envy toward all the wise and mighty PS3 owners.
Seriously though, I'm probably going to buy a PS3 slim just for Valkeria. Been dieing to play that.
I think it's a fair compromise in order to put up with the pirate girl, who's almost certainly going to be another Annoying Brat fresh out of the Annoying Brat Cookie Cutter™.
I'm in the middle of playing through Eternal Sonata on my new PS3 (the game is pretty cheap now if you can find it), and they have Salsa as the staple annoying loli... she's not a pirate, but an elf who commandeered the pirate hat after the token pirate/ghost ship encounter (which every freakin' JRPG seems to have just for the sake of having a ship battle)
So I think it's a more specific flavor of Bandai Namco Annoying Brat™
Luckily i hated all the tales- installments after Phantasia... but Vesperia will be the first one I'm not getting, oh joy.
I think the whole series is at its best in anime form rather than videogame anyway...
Yeah, after a while, you notice an unfailing pattern in every storyline. Always remember, though, that cliches wouldn't be cliches if they didn't work. Cliches are timeless and I don't think it's possible to make an RPG without cliches. Just about everything within reason has been done.
Symphonia is shit with its over-the-top cliches, especially that GDODAMN blond klutz and that generic spikey haired, block head named Lloyd. Even Luke beat his sorry ass by a large margin in the popularity contest ;p

was that 9999999 i saw on that indignation? O.o i didnt realize the damage cap was that high
the pirate girl sound very similar to rinrin of kojhime musou.

She is quite a known voice actress, eh.
If they put a date+rapelay sim in it as well. I'll diffinately buy it.
Believe me, the new Xbox 360 version will have ero content for sure! Just trying to counter the PS3 again...I hope.
It's going to be really fun to see this Japan-only PS3 release get spanked by Fable III... lol I just love flaming them petty PS3 fanchildren.
Tear from Tales of the Abyss had jiggling oppai too, for now, I'll be waiting the english version of Vesperia.
The best version of Tales of Vesperia.
Only on the PS3 Slim. Not for buyers of inferior RRoD consoles.

o hell yes, now are they doing the port for the states or what?

So Sony adds some gainax bounce but deletes DFC. Fuck them.
Bounce has been there since the 360 version. There's NOTHING new in these. DFC is intact as well (Rita, Estelle and now Patty).

Excellent troll attempt, however you lost credibility with the "infinite improvements" bit.
The Fallout 3 demolished the remainder of the facade, but all in all, very well done.
..waitaminit. Were you serious?
AHHAHAHAHAH GOT ME AGAIN ANON!
wonderful!
LOL 360 owners just got owned, i myself got owned as well, having bought the 360 version last year and seeing the PS3 version get upgraded heavily.
Guess i am gonna buy the PS3 version as well, ahhh my money =((

Indignation's back?! O_O

Okay, serious question here.

And that is why all the schools I've seen don't allow wikipedia as a source to base research on.
In manga, anime, and anime influenced games, prepubescent girls are usually referred to as lolis.
So basically,
Loli= young girl
Lolicon= attraction to young girl.
That's rather misleading then. Wouldn't moe be more appropriate since the term doesn't really have any erotic suggestion?
Judith already had plenty of bounce in the original version. One additional instance of poorly-animated jiggle is hardly worth the price of readmission.
I AM apoplectic with rage.
i alway thought the main char was a girl...until now..
Curses! While I've been pretty ambivalent about the pirate loli factor (I'm more of a ninja MILF man), the addition of jiggling boobs makes me weep bitter tears of craven envy toward all the wise and mighty PS3 owners.

Duly noted.
I'm a PS3 owner, a self-respecting JRPG fan, but won't get that game.
Then what the hell do you have a PS3 for.
One stupid JRPG fan then. only you respect yourself. Nobody would respect you
This is why you buy the superior reliable PS3 Slim and you avoid the RRoD 360 like the plague.
Because we all knew the PS3 slim and a PS3 version of this were coming out when it first came out, right?
Well, certainly not all of us knew, from the look of things.
I just sold my 360.
Who would actually care about these things, your power level must be pretty high if you rage about a shitty rpg containing a loli is on ps3.
PFFFF, if you're low level, GTFO since RPG(s) obviouly aint for you and your shitty lv.1
Luckily i hated all the tales- installments after Phantasia... but Vesperia will be the first one I'm not getting, oh joy.
I think the whole series is at its best in anime form rather than videogame anyway...
haha same. Never liked the tales games. It was too repetitive in my opinion. Just an opinion
Yeah, after a while, you notice an unfailing pattern in every storyline. Always remember, though, that cliches wouldn't be cliches if they didn't work. Cliches are timeless and I don't think it's possible to make an RPG without cliches. Just about everything within reason has been done.
abyss was great. it actually made me play tales again. i got bored with the others after phantasia too O.o
The abyss anime was quite boring for me because I've played the game already. It was too by the books.
Also I just realised that Versperia isn't the first Tales of game to have a loli pirate. Eternia has one too.
Abyss fighting and money systems annoyed me, but for the rest it was great. Because of that i liked the anime much more.
Phantasia and Abyss were shit.
Symphonia is the best in the series.
Symphonia is shit with its over-the-top cliches, especially that GDODAMN blond klutz and that generic spikey haired, block head named Lloyd. Even Luke beat his sorry ass by a large margin in the popularity contest ;p
what the hell is kratos anyway?
a sea dragon? god of war hero?
Kratos's badassery beats all!
But as anime, Tales series would merely be run-of-the-mill. In game form, at least they have the mini-games, explorations, battles and skits.
