God Sued for Terrorism, Case Dismissed

god-victorious

US courts have thrown out a case against God, seeking a permanent injuction against the deity for “death, destruction and terrorisation,” on a technicality, with the judge pointing out that since God has no known address or physical presence, a writ cannot be served against him.

The suit was launched by Nebraska senator Ernie Chambers, who became disgusted with the “widespread death, destruction and terrorisation of millions upon millions of the Earth’s inhabitants,” and so opted to seek justice in a court of law.

The judge would have none of this:

“Given that this court finds that there can never be service effectuated on the named defendant this action will be dismissed with prejudice.”

The plaintiff can appeal the decision, but cannot refile the suit. He disputes the verdict, saying that as the court recognised God’s existence and consequently his omniscience, God must know of the suit being brought against him: “Since God knows everything, God has notice of this lawsuit.”

However, he has not decided whether to appeal yet.

He claims to have launched legal action against God to highlight the fact that “anyone can sue anyone else, even God.”
