Endless Eight DVD Masterstroke

Kadokawa’s marketing genius continues with the confirmation that Haruhi fans will in fact be expected to buy four volumes of Endless Eight on DVD, though apologists point out that this does at least mean the discs and their content can be avoided completely.
All the DVDs for the “new episodes” have recently been put on Amazon, ending any further speculation about legitimate episodes being mixed together with Endless Eight or otherwise, although almost all sources involved in the sale of the DVDs discretely refrain from mentioning what episodes the discs contain.
Extras are comprised mainly of extra art. The various discs are up for pre-order now, should anyone be masochistic or obsessive enough to buy them. The bizarre numbering is explained in a previous article.
Needless to say, everyone is desperate to see the sales figures for these four volumes…

I prefer to buy dvds of Rob Schneider than merchandise of Haruhi (and that's go far xD )
Clearly, Haruhi needs a Rob Schneider episode, or six.
I think the real masterstroke would be if they dropped a couple of new scenes into the DVD versions so the curious masochists who hung on until the end would have to buy the discs to see what's new, lol...
Maybe they sell some "extras" on those dvds... xDD

A clear message needs to be sent to Kadokawa/KyoAni. And boycotting the purchase of Haruhi season 2 might do it. Seriously.
This is not so much to discontinue the Haruhi franchise but rather to make them realize how pretentious they've gotten with this Endless Eight MESSterpiece they've thrown at people. What needs to be done is for them to be brought down off their high horse and produce some better quality material for a change.

Jesus, I've never seen such an up-to-no-good grin on Haruhi's face. That's gonna haunt my nightmares.
I hope sales figures turn out horrible so KyoAni will drop the series and someone else can pick it up and do it justice; or it'll end up like Negima with two Anime series that doesn't follow the book at all.
I feel sorry for those who buy them without knowing about Endless Eight beforehand. Someone who has neither read the light novels nor spoiled himself on the internet.
Thankfully the apologists pointed out the fact that we don't have to waste money on the endless eight.
I didn't mind endless 8. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it. The last episode had great animation.

Well, I would like to see the DVD sales for Endless Eight and see if KyoAni gets an ass-kicking..

I'm kind of surprised they didn't release a single episode per DVD, then mark all the Endless Eight episodes simply as "Endless Eight", so you don't know which one you're getting. They could market it based on "collectability" or some other nonsense.
Normally, I'd write off a Trading-Card model applied to DVDs as an impossibility, but KyoAni seem to have come close to mastering the art of trolling so far...
Still better than Lucky Star.

I'm not defending Kadokawa, but "Haruhi" and "the fans". It is plainly stupid to call any1, who buy the DVDs because they honestly fine with it(e8), stupid. It is their money, they used it to buy what they like (consciously, too), and you still dare to call that stupid? How do you feel when u buy food/snack/drink/whatever you really like, someone call u stupid for buying that?
Just don't buy if u don't like it. Don't insult who buy because they like it.

K-ON is just decent and wasn't a Masterpiece to begin with but EE (i could also add the nice and well done finale episode as another factor) pretty much sums it up to put the show higher than Haruhi S2.

Well, KyoAni or rather said, the Haruhi franchise does really loose a part of its fandom. Last time ppl were just hating it claiming it to be overrated and now, even the (former) fans are hating it now due to Kadokawa's trolling..
