It will take a while to make this happen, because of that stupid fuck of BluRay which takes boatloads of space on your PS3 hardisk.

It's basically the equivalent of a graphics card in a pc. It's basically a modded Nvidia 7800GTX with a SHITload more ram included. Thats pretty much sucks, pretty much the reason why games can't run at 1080p on the PS3 at decent frames.
And pretty much reason why no games are 1080p on both systems, and why 360 has to upscale to 1080p using its hardware scaler. Actually infact, there are more 1080p games on the PS3 than there are 360. Ho hum.

Not only there are about the same amount of native (that is, true) 1080p games on both systems, due to this very piece of hardware the PS3 renders most games at a lower resolution than the Xbox 360, particularly important games like Grand Theft Auto IV and Resident Evil 5, among others.

The main reason games look better on the 360 over the PS3 is because of the companies that make the games. 360 had a year head start. Game developer used the 360 as a benchmark for next gen console. Plus Sony using the Cell chip and not a stander chip has many developer shaking their head because they don't know how best to use it. The PS3 is a better console period. All the numbers speak for them self. BUT if you don't know how to use it right your gonna have problems with it no matter how ever good the system is. As far as The Slim. IF my old one brakes then I'll get it. (Unlike the 53% fail of the 360.) Launch machine baby!

So, the RSX is the console's CPU (according to the pics' filename)? lol uninformed Sony fans.
Actually, besides the absurd design of the Cell Broadband Engine (which was originally aimed at servers, which is where it has found the most success), the RSX is a hilariously outdated independent pixel/vertex shader architecture-based chip, unlike the 360's modern unified shader architecture-based Xenos. Aaaaand, it just has 256 MB of GDDR3 VRAM clocked at 700 MHz (producing a bottleneck with the CPU's and main RAM's 3.2 GHz), while the 360 has an incredibly efficient 512 MB GDDR3 unified system/video RAM pool at the same 700 MHz with 10 MB of additional eDRAM.
So, to summarize, the Xbox 360 has 10 additional megabytes of RAM compared to the PS3, and it's this extra RAM the one responsible for the better antialiasing method and overall superior looking titles.

There. Have a laugh, kid. I've already covered why this RRoD happened and why it was unavoidable, but I can't be arsed to look it up again.
"It happens when a solder connection between the GPU (Graphic-Processing-Unit) and the Mainboard break or become loose. The basic reason I found is that the metal housing of the 360 is not straight bended by production. The bended area is exactly there where the GPU sits. That means if you screw in the Mainboard it will exactly bended like the metal case. This mechanical tension to the mainboard will break the soldered grid ball connection ealier or later. The original X-clamp does not produce enough pressure to the heat sink to keep the mainboard straight connected to the GPU. The original X-clamp is made of ordinary steel what really doesn`t help in this case. It lost pressure in a few months. "
Meh, just fucking replace the shitty heatsink that comes with the 360. Assuming you're not a dumbass, you can do it without voiding your warranty. Heatgun / Hairdryer + Sticker = Comes off easily without ripping.

And you're stupid if you think RAMs are the reason that the 360 games have better graphics, i laugh at the 360 fanboys here, calling Cell useless for the PS3, where the 360's Xenos cores are from the design of the PS3's Cell :P
I'm not saying Halo 3 has good graphics, chump. Think about both Gears of War and Forza Motorsport titles for those. Even stuff like Fallout 3 looks and plays way better on 360.
And the Cell's final design (with all those useless synergistic processing elements) doesn't translate to a better videogame programming and development platform but work pretty well for a server platform and is cheap to boot, you get it now?

Just got my PS3 slim from bestbuy. Hell of a lot lighter and a little bit smaller. I like the sleek shiny feel of the old PS3 rather than the slim's feel.

Tape is an easy and cheap method to secure wires, some of these are strong enough to remove hair (bad first hand experience, don't ask...)

I bought my fat PS3 when it first came out for about $700 (With a fan, game and extra controller). I for one would not trade in my fat PS3 for this slimmer version. Especially since my PS3 is backwards compatible. (Hardware not software)
I'd get myself one since i don't have a PS3 yet plus it's more sleek in design compared the the previous one which is really huge for me which i can't have in a small room like mine.
I think that if you don't have the space for the fat, then you don't have for the slim too. It isn't so smaller.

I have a tiny apartment room, and I managed to squeeze in an imac, a micro home theater, an HD ready TV, and a fat PS3 on one table, what is there to complain about?
The "phat" PS3, btw, has a smaller vertical footprint than a slim (which needs a $24 stand).
when i think of sleek, i think of shiny. i think ps3 fat is sleeker
Depending on how you look at it...
Comparing PS3 fat to PS3 slim...if the PS3 slim's power supply really can reduce the power consumption/power draw by that much, it should run cooler than the PS3 fat, thus have a longer lasting life-span.
