Why can't sony do something cunning instead of these odd ball commercials? Sony never learned how to advertise. I have a ps3 and it's the best console ever but I really dislike those commercials. :/
Umm.. If you've ever looked at sony's marketing record, you'll see nothing but failures in advertising.
- Racist PSP billboard ads where a white person is dominating over a black person.
- Sony's own website where they were actually trying to perform side by side comparisons of Gran Turismo HD vs. Project Gotham Racing 3, claiming their screenshots were so much better while the PGR3 screens were crap. Unfortunately they didn't bother to check the better screenshots they were promoting, were actually the PGR3 screens.
- A fake PSP "fan" site, promoting the handheld as a cool multipurpose device. It was easily determined that site was made by sony's marketing staff.
- Decapitating a real goat just to serve soup from it's body to promote God of War II.
- Gran Turismo poster that includes a rear shot of a car, but it includes PGR3 in the license plate. Which means it's an image from stolen from Project Gotham Racing 3 again.
I can list more, but it just keeps on going, and it would take an eternity to describe the stupidity of sony marketing staff.
It's curious, I was under the impression that their previous advertisings included at least some game footage or something, but now that you point out this... yeah, maybe they just aren't as effective now.

I forgot to mention the idea for the ad they're showing here is actually stolen from a photographer named Phil Toledano, where he did a similar photo series in a video of people's faces while they were playing video games. The photo series were made in 2002.

Toledano has been asked by several gaming sites if sony asked for permission and he has replied, "It pretty much looks like they happily ripped me off..."
So there's a good chance there's going to be a legal issue concerning this ad soon.
This pretty much lists yet another marketing flub by sony's marketing staff.

Seeing as your ps3/360 (not wii because its shite) is going to go into a slot on yout tv stand, or next to or under or ontop of your tv and might not be moved (mine isnt), does it really matter how big, slim or wide it is, btw, ps3 is slicker than the white 360's but the elite kicks any ps3's ass in shape and slickness.
As a PC man if i ever want to buy a console i would prefer PS3 because of principle. I absolutely refuse to pay every month for playing on the internet with others.
I never had to do it in the PC and am already paying my ISP for internet connection. NO am noty gone a give you money for something that is suppose to be free.
Microsoft even tried to make PC online(am not talking about MMORPGs) gaming a subscription thing. It's disgusting. Why should i pay you for something i se to do for free?
If i have to pay to play a football match with my friend through the internet then i prefer to do it on my PC or a console like PS3.

Yes, online mode for PS3 is FREE. As long as you have an internet connection you can use it and play online.
Seriously, you have to buy SO much more for your Xbox to match what the PS3 comes with and it ends up costing you more than it would have to buy a PS3 to begin with. My fiance works at Gamestop and he has all the consoles and I know how much he has spent on each one and his Xbox 360 definitely cost the most. -___-;
