Haruhi-ON!

First season was so god damn sexy compared to this. Well the first season is god damn sexy. I frikin hate this k-on style... Kyo ani raped this anime already...

They have improved the animation over some of the E8/Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody episodes. Still it couldn't have been so hard to use the original S1 animation style. Moeblobs were okay for K-On, but this is Haruhi.

I guess fans are still butthurt bitter about E8 that they even tend to cherry pick stuffs just to release their angst over the whole season. Well can't blame them. If you're expecting something great with that rage inside you. Good luck....

i had felt that k-on was created to capitalize on the success of haruhi, specifically the enoz part.
nothing wrong with that.

good episode since it had a great song and was totally unexpected.
an all girl band has a lot of appeal.

for some reason my brain thinks k-on is the band enoz.
k-on and haruhi characters are in the same universe so they all go to the same school.
the day of that festival yui and azusa could not make it so they got haruhi and yuki to fill in.

might have been an interesting crossover.
you would occasionally see the other show in the background, especially the surreal exploits of sos brigade from k-on point of view.
from time to time they would bump into each other,
maybe even something that happens in one show greatly affecting the other show.

then they could have haruhi 2nd season which would also explain what they saw in k-on (except getting k-on getting stuck in haruhi's endless eight)

Johannes Krauser II on k-on was pretty funny though

Fucking kyoani...

K-ON! is a decent anime, has a fairly unique plot but in the end it reminds me of silly high schoolers doing random stuff more then it reminds me of a music animation. K-ON looks new but it's also old, it reminds me alot of lucky star and azumanga. Haruhi in the other hand took it to the next level, it's so insane it's amazing, you can actually think while watching it, you try make sense of apparently senseless things, props to the novel author on the matter.

And what I hate most is Kyon-kun facial expression, previous one was better

I prefer the placement of the newer eye design but the angularity of the original. Gives Haruhi a more serious and less "moe moe look at me let's copy k-on" look.

oyi... did they forget to look at Itou Noiji's design chart? Seriously, it was perfect for the show.

K-On Haruhi just doesn't work IMO. It looks like it blinked into Shoujo or something...

Now we need a sequel... Haruhi-ON! Oratorio Tangram.

As I posted before. Why are they going all crazy about this? They're both from the same animation company, so it isn't all that surprising if the drawing looks similar since drawing will change over years. Anyways, I prefer the new art style anyways. More cuter, more moe.

The Itoh-derived originals felt original, and yet realistic, like a lighter GiTS:SAC almost. I loved all the ugly people in the background of the 'movie'.

K-ON!, and to some extent the new season, feels like moefication by committee.
Even Taniguchi is noticeably cuter, now. That's just wrong.

Well, so much for their plan to seamlessly weave the new episodes in among the old!

Aya... A few K-ON! immitations are fine I guess... but if this is going to spread to the future KyoAni, I'm going to lose some faith in them.

i hate this new direction haruhi is going in. i'm not even watching the new arc now. 1. i already read it 2. i'm sure kyoani will somehow find a way to fuck it up

I can see similarities between the styles, but the Haruhi style has distinct differences. I don't understand what the problem is.

We've noticed these similarities since Bamboo Rhapsody...

this so called "K-ON" style should actually be called "Munto" style...seriously guys....they did it first, too bad no one watched it.

Also the animation may not be the same as season 1 (which was imo one of the best animation ever) but its still good animation anyways, better than a lot of the shitty animation on other series right now.

To me this animation makes them look closer to Noizi Ito's original designs, so I dont think they look bad.

And there is supposed to be something wrong with this?
