Newtype’s announcement that “something is going to happen” with regard to otaku exploitation anime Haruhi has been finally made public, taking the form of no less than four shocking announcements.
The announcements run along these lines:
1. The seiyuu for Haruhi, Nagato and Mikuru are recording some exclusive interview for distribution only to Newtype’s loyal rubes!
2. Endless Eight will be shown again on Newtype’s site for a whole day at the end of August! Relive the joy!
3. Fans will finally get to test their knowledge of Endless Eight in the “Endless Eight Cult Quiz”! How many questions will you be able to answer?
4. New information on Haruhi goods for you to obediently buy up is forthcoming!

Those who abandoned the franchise after this endless eight fiasco, was never true fan of the series.
However, I still believe there still some big fanbase for this series despite their theatrical act of endless eight.
This act could probably be a publicity stunt for otaku and fans of the series to remember for years to come.

Time had got stuck in a loop, so they remade the same episode 8 times, but slightly different each time through. Also the 8 of Endless 8 is a visual pun on the symbol for infinity.

Well, this is obviously some kind of joke. It's not even vaguely funny of course, but I've often found some aspects of Japanese humour to be quite impenetrable to the western mind. Because no-one gives a flying fuck about Endless Eight except to vilify it and only the most retarded troll in existance could fail to realize that by now.

As much as I want new Haruhi (and nothing to do with Endless Eight), I can't lie. This is actually quite entertaining. The show has already went down in history for it's story and characters, but all the stunts they're pulling is going to make it something no otaku will ever forget.
Yeah, I will use it as torture for my children one day when they too become the Otaku of the future. If they talk back to me, I will make them watch all 8 episode in a row before they can do anything else. The first episode will be something they enjoy until they figure out that I am pulling a KyoAni.
