China you have done it again, I think I know how this lady feel. In my teen I left my shoe outside the main door one day and it rained that night. Next morning when I was preparing to go outside I pick up my shoe, turn it upside down to get rid of the small pebble, when suddenly this big ugly toad fell out of my shoe, it scare the shit out of me and I neverever wore that shoe again . Even now when I think about it and think what would be the consequence have I not bother to clean up my shoe alway gives me a shiver, good old trauma

Actually the majority of items are NOT made in China, just assembled. It's cheaper to pay someone $1 a day (or wait till they die so you don't have to pay at all ^_^) than to automate the final steps of assembly. Cheap Chinese and now Vietnamese labor have set back manufacturing a good 20 years since they had to re-learn everything we already knew and just now are we getting around to the kind of automated assembly we should have started in the 90s.
