The highly publicized arrest of actress-singer 酒井法子 / Noriko Sakai on drug charges presented the many TV viewers watching a live broadcast of Sakai being taken into custody with the curious sight of an otaku fan of ero-mahjong anime Saki flashing promotional art of the show in front of TV cameras.
Sakai had gone missing since her husband was arrested for the possession of illegal stimulants earlier this week and she too came under suspicion of drug possession, but was arrested on August 7; all this created a major media furor as Sakai is quite pretty.
These images come from a broadcast of her being taken into custody at a Shibuya police station:
The image on the small poster he was hiding behind:
He can also be seen in action starting from the 1:19 mark of this Youtube video of the Jouhou 7days Newscaster program, if you are so inclined…
The motivation for this is perhaps better left unknown…

Arrrghh!!! Free Noriko! She was the voice of Noriko in Gunbuster. Don't you understand? Gunbuster!
Noriko Sakai sung the opening theme song to Gunbuster ("Active Heart").
The character Noriko "Nonoriri" Takaya was voiced by seiyuu Noriko Hidaka.
Quite confusing, huh?
Noriko TAKAYA, not Noriko Sakai, voices Noriko in Gunbuster (and Akane Tendo in Ranma 1/2).
No, wait, Noriko HIDAKA is the seiyuu, Noriko Takaya is the name of the main heroine in Gunbuster.
Oh, the Major hangs his head in shame. Druggie Noriko did a Gunbuster song. Noriko Seiyuu scared of Swine Flu and did'nt make Animazement.
You got to admit, them's alot of Norikos to keep up with...
...AND and and! Noriko Takaya is also the name of the color designer at Gainax who invented the color harmony process and who Anno fell in love with, (Thus the characters name) but was later dumped by (thus depression leading up to Eva).
Actually it has not ever even been clearly said if they even HAD a relationship, it may have been entirely one sided...
Well I would rather have Japanese cops here in Mexico in place of the scum that have a taken a liking to extorting taxpaying citizens on a daily basis. I do not believe some of the people who frequent this site would last very long here in Tamaulipas.
I can't even pronounce Tamaulipas.
This is really weird.
TACOS WILL INVADE JAPAN, FEAR TACOS
DON TAKOSU TARA TARA DON TAKOSU DON TAKOSU TARA TARA DON TAKOSU
This IS the news. To think, that this is one of prettiest and cutest women in the world, that in addition could sing and act pretty well...
OK, people are people, sometimes they have problems. In the West we often can hear, that celebrities have problems with law and police and nobody does not make a ruckus about it. Let's recall Michael Jackson charged with something as bad as pedophilia. Famous people - famous their problems.
Let's not judge. I will always remember Noriko as a great actress and singer. She gave me many beautiful emotions and memories. Good luck, Noriko-san! 頑張れ!
lol now thats rich
And now the mass is going to accept how powerful tacos power is tnx to Loli-Tacos :3

AHhahaa I watched the video, tacos nyah!
Damned shame. She's a fine lookin' broad.
Why bash the guy? It looks more like he didn't want to be on the news to me. And on a side note, I thought this was gonna have an otaku flashing his nuts or something.
I was talking about commenters bashing him btw, not Artefact.
*Quen, not artefact. God i'm on a role today. >:(
It's the powaa of Yuuki and her tacos..
Draken is stuttering like crazy XD ROFL

Gosh the specs and that look!
Narutaki in the making!!
Sorry to say but Japanese otaku are hella creepy and more hardcore than the rest of otakus OUT of Japan. They are the one's giving a bad name to these people. Idiots... restrain yourself~!
Since when was Otaku not supposed to be creepy and doesn't bring a bad name..? Then again, one thing i adore about otaku is how they manage to follow their own free hearts and do whatever they want instead of listening to normies and moral fags.
That is exactly what being an otaku mean to me, kudos to you
Rather than giving other otaku a bad name, i just think theyre brave and have courage to do whatever they want.
Did you by any chance fail high school?
Good taco is good.
Useless comment is useless.
lol her site went down and toyota took out her commercial from their website too.
Is that Takeshi Kitano in the first video or what ? WTF is he doing there.
He's a newscaster now, and from the looks of it, he's doing quite a bad job at it (wiping his nose on a newscast).
Why is Beat Takeshi in a news program?
Who's going to stop him?
No one stops Zatouichi!! XD
Recruiting adolescents for the Next Battle Royale program....?
Almost every night of the week it seems like Takeshi is on one variety talk show or another. About all you get over here on broadcast in the evening are such programs... They are so fake and overdone, the same celebrities faking surprise or outrage or excitement over and over either concerning ''amazing'' food or shocking news stories depending on the program.
He looks creepy..
Exactly what I thought....
This is part of a bigger plot!
I bet that made him feel suss while he was doing that, makes me want to slap the guy.
Haha awesome, I just saw this on TV a few hours ago
Quite ridiculous police work. This would never have been allowed in the west (in the civilized countries, obviously), and the police detectives responsible would probably have be transferred as punishment.
It is not legal in most countries to make a public arrest like this, if there isn't a VERY HUGE suspicion of her being quilty (and even then, it would most likely have to be an actually SERIOUS case - not somedrug crap), which there should not be if her husband did not say during testimony that is was her drugs. Which he probably would not, since then she would obviously divorce the low-life. And even if he did, the police would not announce it to the media. What if she is not guilty, and they destroyed her career?
Japan is good at many things, but police work, public deparments and politics is not any of them... In fact, Japans police force must be the worst in the civilized world I believe.
And look how much some glasses of wine can make you write about such worthless news...
Clearly you don't live in America, Retardissist.
Why they must publicize this anyway? Just to put her in shame??
@Storm Wing: Every celebrity doing crime are certain to be publicize. You've never watched gossip show haven't you?
They do that all the time here in U.S. The paparazzi and news channels just LOVE it. Remember, rating, rating, rating!
@Makkun: Besides obituary or criminal events? Never ^^;
GET LOST YOU MORAN!
You're the only "moran" here, fella.
This happens all the time in the west I don't know what you are talking about. The difference is it's so damn common most of us stopped caring a long time ago.
I watched cops and i understand how the American cops works. But Japan doesn't have it's own "cops" series, so I don't understand them. ^^
"hmmm, anyone watch a show called cops?"
i hope no one watches that show
theres no one famous on cops
Have you seen Japan's conviction rate?
Fucking moron.
@Makkun
Sure they do have cop shows in Japan. They're pretty funny though, because they're so mundane by "our" standards (based on what I saw there).
Some homeless dude stealing loose-change offerings from a shrine, public drunkenness, kicking a bicycle, etc. When the local crime runs out, they switch to showing JP-dubbed American stuff (a hostage situation at a "gas station").
Best part: the judge sentences aforementioned-homeless guy to a few months in jail (longer than necessary) - doing him a favour by keeping him off the streets, because it'll be a cold winter.
Over-sensationalism.
How many times did the news program re-play the shot of the cop van (and suspect) driving past the camera operator? (Endless) Eight times? Even more? (I didn't take a careful count.)
Doesn't need a series if it's being aired as news...
hmmm, anyone watch a show called cops?
