A recent graduate is suing her alma mater after failing to find work after gaining her degree, alleging the university did not support her enough in finding work.
The woman, a 27-year-old graduate of New York’s Monroe College, recently received in April a degree in information technology from the establishment at a cost of some $70,000.
However, after graduation she could not find work. In the time honoured tradition of American litigation, she opted to sue the college to recoup her tution fees, filing a lawsuit at the Bronx Supreme Court alleging “They have not tried hard enough to help me,” and that they did not provide the support promised.
Her mother chimes in that her daughter is “very angry at her situation” as she had “put all her faith” in the institution’s job finding prowess.
The college for its part scathingly dismisses her allegations, saying “The college prides itself on the excellent career-development support that we provide to each of our students, and this case does not deserve further consideration,” and that the case is “completely without merit.”

Wow. I just graduated and think maybe I should do that too. What an idiot. Americans sue for no credible reason.
people people people…. we are forgetting something here…. this is all because of some americans who doesnt want “CHANGE” to ruin their businesses so they pull out there stocks and stuff, then the fall back goes to the hardworking people and get laid off… damn reality really does hurt a LOT!!!
If it was in California, the article was about two months old, and the degree was different I would have said ‘Oh s♥♥t! I think I know that girl!’
Fucking moron… thinking that life owes her everything. She needs to grow up and realize she has to be responsible for her own ass. I thought I lived in a fantasy world!
So she finally got a hint at how hard life is, hein? Unfortunately, decided to just show how stupid she is instead of actually using her brain.
I myself can’t find a job or even continue studying (at Master degree) because the system changed meanwhile and the kids a year younger than me can easily get higher marks (which is what matters), even if I have more experience in the field than them.
yeah..You can’t find a job during the great economical depression…Hardly surprising..
