Xbox 360 fans lusting after ota-idol Shoko-tan have been dealt another grievous blow with the news that she gave away a number of Xbox 360 games, without even bothering to play them.
“I’ll giving away a set of Xbox 360 games I haven’t played yet,” according Shoko-tan in her blog.
Among the titles were Lost Odyssey, Fable II, Gears of War, Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise, Forza 2 and Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. Notable by its absence is her prized beta copy of Tales of Vesperia…
Ironically, the fan that won the set does not even own an Xbox according to Shoko-tan.
Doubtless he would never even consider playing them anyway, as to an otaku such hallowed relics demand reverential ensconcement in some sort of reliquary, or at least lucrative disposal by way of Yahoo! Auctions…

Last time checked the 360 was not that popular in Japan anyway, even though its more popular than the original X-box.
Honestly this whole console war is getting old. I have a 360 and have the option of getting a PS3 if I wanted to. And my parents have a Wii that I can play if I ever get that bored. But like iv said in other topics, it boils down to what games you like to play.

It's because the Xbox 360 is the console of LOLSHOOTERS and the same damn EASPORTS game you bought ten years ago, which is popular among the many gun-toting hillbillies and beer-bong-chugging frat fags throughout the country. Granted, there are a few shining gems (Eternal Sonata, Fable II...I'm sure there's more), but the rest of the heap, regardless of how good they might be, is made almost entirely of shooters and the odd racing/sports game that isn't made by EA.
truthfully, xbox 360 is generally seen as the non hardcore player or the children's console. That said, it does have a few nice shooters but i have always been a sony fanboy and a nintendo fanboy.

It's the Otaku's console of choice because MS paid for the exclusives, just to get the 360 moving in Japan in the first place. JRPGs move consoles... cue DQ9 and the DS. That's something they learned after Xbox1.
An Otaku would sacrifice health and cup o noodles money just to buy their favorite galgame, regardless of the platform.
Here's a message to the Brazilian manufacturer of the craptactular console Zeebo: if ever you want to push units in Japan, get some developers to make exclusive visual novels for it. The otaku will 100% buy it if it's content they love.
