Japan’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party has made a short anime attack ad as part of its election campaign, caricaturing the profligate policies of the opposition Democratic Part of Japan as fiscally unsound, and distributed online.

The man shown resembles a young Yukio Hatoyama, the leader of the DPJ, courting a young lady with the Diet building visible in the background.
He makes various promises relating to recent (and expensive) policy pledges by the DPJ, “With me you can have as much education and toll-free highway access as you want! It’ll be OK!” To which the lady wonders “Will the money be OK?”, and he responds “Think about the details after we’re married!”
While by any reasonable assessment both parties are utterly incompetent basket cases almost incapable of disobeying various special interest groups and the civil service, the latest policy ideas of the DPJ, such as abolishing tolls on the highways and introducing a 1,000 yen minimum hourly wage (substantially higher than the national average), have tended to invite criticism on financial grounds given that huge public debt and budget deficits the nation enjoys, along with an elderly population which threatens to strangle Japan’s economy…

As we speak, the recent elections seem to have put more of the Democratic Party in power, which is good news considering they have recently been engaged in skirmishes against the LDP and its pro-censorship hogwash.
There is nothing "liberal" about the LDP, any more than a dictatorship that styles itself Democratic in its title actually promotes any real democracy.

increasing minimum wages is a populist move designed to get votes. It's a horrible idea in a recession as people who pay wages that low will simply fire one worker to afford to pay the increased salary of the rest. Simple Economics.
The Japanese LDP is the only LDP I would ever vote for but as an american i am very conservative by european standards in comparison.

The LDP (Liberal Democratic Party), despite having both "liberal" and "democractic" in its title, is perhaps one of today's greatest living oxymorons. It is actually a bunch of ultra-right-wing extremists that would, if they cared, worship Fox News. In other words, they are Japan's equivalent of extremely hardline Republicans the likes of which are as fugly as Rush Limbaugh.
The DPJ on the other hand, is everything the LDP isn't, except for the incompetent part, but since all political bodies of enough size to matter tend to represent the pinnacle of inefficiency, this is no surprise. What the DJP has over the LDP is that the LDP rejoices and pushes for censorship and anti-porn and whatnot all the time. The DPJ opposes them almost all the time.
So, if you had to pick a side, it's really pretty much a no-brainer. If you care about freedom of visual culture and civil liberties in general at all, the DPJ is the party you want. The LDP is the enemy of civil liberties, despite their supposed "money matters" prowess (which even your baby sister would gawk at).
So, to answer your question... the LDP is the party against lolis. And also non-lolis, so as long as anything remotely sexual is involved. And oh yes, the LDP have insane feminazis in their ranks too.
