Idolmaster Shock: New Character Ryo Akizuki is Shota Trap

The latest game in the idol rearing Idolmaster series, Idolmaster: Dearly Stars, for the DS, has unleashed a shocking twist: its new character Ryo Akizuki (Ritsuko’s cousin) is actually a crossdressing shota trying to pass himself off as a loli idol.
As if this were not enough to be getting on with, the new loli character is the result of a teen pregnancy; fans are wondering where the franchise is heading, and liking it…
“Her” official bio states she has a “big secret.”

Naturally an immediate Idolmaster shota fanart boom has ensued. Amusingly enough, there is already a lot of fanart of “her,” which is going to need retouching…

In other news, the same game has introduced a new addition to the loli pantheon Idolmaster is notorious for: Ai Hidaka is 13, but what is rather more interesting is that her mother Mai Hidaka is 29, having apparently started early. Her timeline runs something like this:
12: Mai’s debut as idol.
15: Pregnant in August.
16: Married, retires and delivers Ai in June.
29: Ai, now 13, begins her career as Lolita lust object.
Such sordid goings on may be highly realistic in the dubious world of idols, but it is surprising to see them recreated in the game…
Fans of the series are by now doubtless champing at the bit to get in on the shota/loli action. The game goes on sale in September, and international pre-orders are open now.

The VA for Ryo does a surprisingly good job at voicing the male/female parts.
Seems like there are new training minigames too from the nico video. Nice as this all is, i hope they combine the 360, PSP and DS versions one day. Well 360 came out first and was a faithful arcade port but the PSP and DS are all lacking in some way. Its prolly time for a remake or version 2. You listening Microsoft?
