Hundreds gathered to witness the execution of a Yemeni pederast by gunshot to the head, in what looks to have been one of the most entertaining spectacles on offer in the tiny Arabian republic.
The condemned was found guilty of violating an 11-year-old boy and then murdering him and cutting up the corpse for disposal, which will doubtless restrict sympathy for his humiliating fate.
He was thoroughly executed with four rounds to the head, the results of which hardly need photographic exposition.
